  1. Uhhh... aren't you supposed to use carbide runners?
  2. Condolences to the families with losses. That sucks. On the otherhand, looks like the province found a way to benefit from this. Sad.
  3. No problem with ordering lunch as long as the late ones pay.
  4. I wouldn't say that. I see it as an opportunity to ride another machine. I like the nimbleness of my Raptor, but wish the range was greater. 3 Gallon fuel tank and a 1.5 gallon rotopax get me to around 100 miles between fuel stops.
  5. Updated my post for those who prefer not to use facebook. Youtube link added.
  6. Saw this on another forum and had a laugh at some of it. Anyone guilty of doing this? https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1291369820875240&id=129298157082418&_rdr Will try finding the YouTube link and update my post. Youtube link is here:
  7. Linda's snow dance really works!
  8. Have to look into this crossing. I usually go west after crossing to meet a friend before heading further north. Thanks for the info.
  9. No complaints as long as they don't discontinue the Raptor 700.
  10. Wish I could be this lucky during a breakdown. Always carry a spare for the trailer but now you have me thinking about tire reliability. Time to inspect the tires. Glad everything worked out for you. Had a close call with a friends trailer, bearing gave out and wheel almost fell off. Made for an interesting afternoon traveling to/from friends house.
  11. The link to one of the other articles seems more interesting. Sorry, wrong forum. Just having fun here: Honda has it wrong. Exhaust in wrong place for saddle bag trips. 2 stroke? No place for additional oil.
  12. 20 degrees C here today. Season is over, time to move onto the atv. Too soon
  13. If taken care of, it's a solid engine. Too bad the chassis doesn't last and needs care as well
  14. Guess I'll never get past this. Lol. Still rememberthe intersection where you yanked my front bumper off the sled and rode away... we won't talk about that ice patch going up hill or those 90 miles of towing... The other cylinder, in my case, lasted beyond 16000km. The first was replaced at 3000km, all due to an improper inspection during a PDI.
  15. Nice riding. Good to see you made it back on the questionable machine.
  16. I have a Garmin Nuvi 550, most likely an outdated model by today's generation of GPS. Mounted mine on the skidoo windshield bag cover and have quebec maps loaded. Very pleased with it.
  17. Nice riding. Sorry to hear of another accident
  18. Another option is to add an external amplifier to boost the audio signal from your media player. Bought this through ebay and it helps with boosting the audio from my phone while on a plane ride. Edit. Added link to item bought... http://www.ebay.com/itm/291908238453 This model is self powered, I'm sure powered versions are available. Not sure if I should do something similar. Listening to metal while riding might make me feel like I'm participating in a snow cross event.
  19. About 10,000km on my 1200. Mostly Quebec miles and stored with US ethanol gas using Star-Tron for the last few years, switched to non ethanol high octane fuel last season for storage. No issues here. Also have a 33 year old VolksWagon with ovet 103,000 miles that was forced to drink ethanol fuel for a few years, went back to ethanol free fuel and have no issues with injectors. Car runs much better with non ethanol, though. Fuel up and ride!
  20. Thank you for the update. Recall reading some the laws and of the ones reviewed, there were only references to highways.
  21. Ranger at Stewart Park mentioned there were an abnormally high number of accidents and fatalities there this season. Too many people in a small area. Sucks. My condolences to the families
  22. Found this to bea pain in the arse as well. Set up an account with photobucket (or similar picture hosting service) upload phone pictures there and copy + post links to the images here. Seems to get around the limits of the site. If you have a Web hosting account, upload images there and post links here. I used this method for some of my images in a topic started on friday. Nice pictures. Wish I was up there riding.
  23. Interesting. Guess people are heading up to the ski slopes?
  24. had issues posting images yesterday, heres another one of those stickers.
