  1. Hey, sorry, I just can't "like" the snirt shot! You understand!
  2. Rut ro. No likey snirty. Booked the Delta for day trips next week, but would greatly prefer launching from the Roq. We will see...
  3. Makes you want to believe in heaven & hell, so there'll be a special place for them in the latter. Last week we had RIDICULOUS LOTS of babies on the 587 in Gaspesie, and we respected that we were in "their house".
  4. It's all par for the course for the young squire! Different trail conditions. Different weather conditions. Different numb-nuts traffic conditions. Different mechanical conditions. Yep! Sounds like a perfect primer! Well done!
  5. JG, that groomer looks like he was playing Pac-Man! "Chomp, chomp, chomp" Went thru there the day before and everyone was warning us to get west! Which we did! The long trackers must be THRILLED! Yammis, not so much... Maybe something lighter would be best?...
  6. Mark, With deepest condolences, may Erica's life and memory be a blessing for you and yours, and for all of us. Wishing Erica the perfect passage that Jack beautifully described as an early morning lake, David
  7. Hey Bon Jour Dr. JG! We're headed out your way this Sunday the 12th! Maybe we can hook up some Bacon Pizza for dinner in Causapscal? We're doing the loop counter-clockwise, to hopefully be in the right places at the right times with this dump coming in! In the meantime, pics of your winter office, from last week at the hotel du glace!...
  8. Damn! Doesn't Snowhorse let you have a Snickers or NUTHIN?!
  9. Smart move! Down around Quebec into Charlsbourg was lumpy. Hopefully flatter toward Casino today. What they built @ Valcartier is UNBELIEVABLE. Gotta see if trail gets us there. We took the 4-Points shuttle...
  10. Moving avg tells me you're MOVING! We took a bonus detour from Shawini to 4-Points and had a leisurely lunch at Roq:
  11. No worries there! We KNOW Tom! And we love him ANYWAY!
  12. La Tuque's a decent diversion too, but that 73's a RIPPER so you'll still be in early: http://www.viaexplora.com/snowmobile/index.html?unit=mi&lat=47.530573&lng=-72.708555&zoom=8&force=1&ewaypoints=4689930,-7292636,75396,69249,-75304,42177&cst=1.0,1.01,1.05&csts=1.0&cstr=1.01&spd=50000,50000,50000
  13. Welcome! Thanks for the support! Some buddies & I will be rolling thru the Fairmont next week!
  14. Great "To be continued"... posts! Where's your partner's perspective?!
  15. Reggie! Welcome to QuebecRider! It was great to meet you Friday morning, and I look forward to staying with you next week! Wishing you the best of success! Salud!...
  16. If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now
  17. Maybe this and other permanent sources could be pinned in one thread? Check the grooming reports before going out... Go to: http://fcmq.viaexplora.com/carte-motoneige/index.html Click "Services" in the upper right corner Click “Delai de serfacage” (and whatever other "Attraits" you want to see) Click "Fermer" to close the drop down box If you switch the view from Carte (map) to Satellite, it's easier to see the Whites (those haven’t been done 3+ days) THEN HEAD FOR THE GREENS & YELLOWS!!
  18. I haven't stayed there yet, but Reggie @ Drakkar has already made a great impression on many folks here, so Bernard's haunting must be having a positive effect!
  19. Thanks Shane & RMK! For your iPhone & dog tag posts, and for your volunteer & military service! We had quite the afternoon into evening many moons ago when my brother-in-law's epilepsy meds went missing from an unzipped pocket. Replacing his phenabarb while keeping calm was that day's adventure, and today's funny story. So now we talk out each rider's needs, and split redundant supplies to stay ahead of Murphy.
  20. East on 93 & over the Saguenay to take the ferry can be a fun photo-opp. Then (depending on budget) drop down to Fairmont Manoir Richelieu, or continue to Baie St Paul. http://www.viaexplora.com/snowmobile/index.html?attraits=&unit=mi&lat=47.403914&lng=-71.301264&zoom=7&force=1&ewaypoints=4654334,-7275407,186048,158231,-17354,138825,-60647,-36062,-18167,-37134,-94416,-220359&cst=1.0,1.01,1.05&csts=1.0&cstr=1.01&spd=50000,50000,50000 Trail 3 thru the Quebec City area can get crowded & whooped, especially on weekends, but that's the only connector. That's probably why my first thought was to run the LSJ northwest DELICIOUSNESS thru Girardville & Lac a Jim on the 93.
  21. Big time! Always McLuvin your reports! Thanks! Just rode thru there too, and got a few pics to post, but my danged attention span of a mosquito has me all over the forum! Sled's looking mighty fine!
