This new pricing has surprised many people, including snowmobilers who already pay an access fee for the trails. Whether by car or snowmobile, it now costs $13.46 a day to travel on the territory of Zec Martin-Valin 12 months a year. Quebec, April 3, 2017 - Members of the Fédération Québécoise des Clubs Quads (FQCQ) will be able to travel free of charge on the federated trails on the zecs without having to pay additional fees. The FQCQ and Zecs Quebec have come to an agreement that will affect quad clubs and zecs throughout Quebec starting in the summer of 2017. Following numerous meetings throughout Quebec, the two federations and their members agreed on a project favorable to all parties involved. "We are proud of this agreement because it is favorable to ATV riders and zecs managers and also contributes to the development of tourism in the regions of Quebec," said Jacques Smith, president of Zecs Quebec. “The Fédération Québécoise des Clubs Quads is proud of this agreement, which was concluded in the interest of the members of our two organizations. A concrete advance for off-road tourism in Quebec”, underlined Alain Decoste, president of the FQCQ. From now on, members of the FQCQ must continue to register, but they will be able to travel free of charge on the federated trails that cross the territories of the zecs. This means that when quad riders leave federated trails on a zec, they must pay traffic fees as provided for in the Regulation respecting controlled hunting and fishing zones. If the trail sucks, the road parallels the trail all the way to the gas station. If there is good snow on it, take it.

Take the road out of Parent going west, saves 6 miles of crap at least.

It was plowed when we rode it a few weeks back, just not sanded. At that time I think it was 5-6 miles. They had done an awesome job clearing trees, building snow bridges, grooming and such. The lady at the gas station was extremely friendly. I don't suspect malice here, and gas was under $2.0L.

Easy now to hit $400+ CAN per day in fuel, food and lodging alone.

Lots of upgrades at Kanawata. New barn, new grader, all new windows, new sliders looking out over the lake. And a new gas guy and a new server, (I'll leave it at that, but worth the trip). Gas is $2.90L.
