  1. I heard, I was back home Saturday night, friend from Lac aux Castor called to say 2”s on the ground Sunday morning.
  2. Went for a little ride today and saw that the small lakes and swamps froze over last night. Getting closer to winter.
  3. If you want a good shot of the rock, from Table a Roland ride up the road to the road leading to the SQ station, ride up that road park st the end and walk up the hill, beautiful spot for some photography, highly recommend to get up early for the sunrise.
  4. I inquired about that loop at the Drummondville show with the folks at the Gaspesie kiosk. That orange trail looping above Carelton is a groomed and maintained trail, when you reach the apex of that loop the trail branching off leading up to the 595 is a non groomed and non maintained trail due to a bridge that is closer to the 595 that can not support the weight of the Groomer any longer, trail is marked and sleds are going through but it’s an offtrail route.
  5. Yup, experienced it first hand last March. Awesome trip, awesome scenery and awesome people but do not forget where you are and always have a plan B in a pinch, the coast can bite your ass. Lots a gremlins out there. Love that video, watched it a few times last winter before experiencing the real thing.
  6. Yup DERROGATION you’re right on the money there Playhard. Spoke with a guy representing the Laurentians tourism office for snowmobiling for the region at the Drummondville show and that’s exactly what’s in the works holding off the right of passage for this year. Apparently there are some swamps that needed to be crossed and yup back to the frogs again, a protected species of frog is living in these swamps. So we all know where this is going. According to the rep this is the last bureaucratic paperwork they need for the right of passage and seeing it got too late into the season to have it completed the protect was postponed for next season. He went on to assure me that linking trail will be absolutely open for next season. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.
  7. Spoke with them at the Drummondville show, the Signature name is only temporary for this year, next year it will be a Sheriton. They say same rules apply to snowmobilers as in the past and are welcome. All though I’ve never stayed there they told me this year there will be a 20$ deposit to leave your rig there while out sledding. If you’re a guest in the hotel you get your 20$ back.
  8. Take care buddy and get well soon, we got some riding to do.
  9. Heading down south tomorrow morning on business? Anymore up for a beer tomorrow night, I’ll buy the first one.
  10. Nice job with the back rack Easyrider
  11. Seems to be a catchy item, there are a few gents in my neighbourhood doing the same thing and not necessaringly on a BRP sled, the Linq system idea is a great system.
  12. This one is what you’re really looking for, very remote and in the perfect spot. Call to see if they’ll consider renting. https://www.kijiji.ca/v-maison-a-vendre/saguenay/chalet-mont-valin/1367460769?utm_campaign=socialbuttons&utm_content=app_ios&utm_medium=social&utm_source=sms
  13. Starting from Mt.Laurier Comfort Inn, St.Raymond Le Roquemont. St.Felicien Le Jardins, Chibougamau Le Nordic, Senneterre Senabi and back to Mt.Laurier or visa versa, of course there are plenty of others in these towns, these I mentioned are snowmobile friendly.
  14. Nice rides guys, looks like it’s going to be a blast cruising those babes down the road, you guys got any gravel in the Route?
  15. Was that you at Rabaska, if so.... did you guys saddle bag it or did loops out of Rabaska?
