When I have a chance I can send the god track for BG to Martin’s.

Unfortunately, we took the old trail.  BAD BAD BAD idea.  In some places, it was completely grown closed.  Not wide enough to walk through let alone take a SXS!  I know what the followers were thinking about 100 yards into it.  For that, I am still sorry but we made it.  Dominic told me that he has a contract out to clear that trail (?soon?)……..  I will NOT take it again until that is confirmed.

The greeting party at Rabaska and "foxy" at Gouin.  The 3 machines parked at the top of Devils mtn.   Bathrooms for those couples that can't be apart from each other for even one moment out in the wilderness under the stars. Cold morning leaving Kanawata.

As Ike said the trip went incredible.  Ike had his chit together and made this trip what it was.  Thanks for all the info from the guys on here.  Definitely a trip for the books.  The lookout on top of the mountain with the cross was spectacular, and one of the favorites of Belinda's.  The trip had some "I can't believe what I saw moments". Like when a truck pulling into a place we stopped for fuel, towing a boat and trailer. Only problem was there no no axle under it.  The boat trailer was on its entire frame dragging.  Who knows how long it was towed like that.  By the time we left the trailer was up on jacks....  The tractor trailer is still parked up on the mountain.....  And groomer must have traded his machine in for a grader as we passed one making the trail smooth.  I will post pics as I get them (belinda took a million of them).

    Ok.  Here's a quick update.
Made the trip as planned for the most part. 1260-1300 miles depending on which of the three odometer readings you use.  I had the least (oversized tires) and the Polaris had the most.  Not one flat tire or mechanical issue on any of the machines.  We didn't even run out of fuel!  We made the lookout on the Gouin and the "bunkers" at Casey thanks to all of the information posted here!
All in all - great trip with great people!

Thanks again for the helpful information!

    Nice itinerary
A little tip, when leaving Barrage Gouin heading towards Obedjewan not far past it maybe 10 or 15 k heading towards Clova for the counterclock wise loop you’ll see a high mountain on your right, sticks out like sore thumb. Look for the trail that’ll bring you to the summit, awesome views and wild fruit for a snack.

Thanks Je me souviens.  That's the plan.  Tentative itinerary now is to still start at Rabaska then......
Circle south and hit all of the scenery (Chutes Windigo, Devil's Mountain, etc.) and wind back up to Beauregard (still have to call them today as this is the only change SO FAR)
Beauregard to Le Cabanon (via Lac du Repos)
Le Cabanon over to Odanak (above La Tuque)
    Odanak to Barrage Goiun
Barrage Gouin to Clova (circling the reservoir)
    Clova to Kanawata
    Kanawata to 100 Lacs
100 Lacs back to the truck at Rabaska (the scenic route)

I hope we can pull it off!!

Trailblazer reacted to towing in Want a summer virtual ride? here's the Isle Verte video
I hope everybody have a great summer, Kristine and I have a nice one!
1rst september today, the daylight started to shorten and the evenings are a little cooler ... good feeling!!!
I had begin to edit some untouched video files I took last season and leave you this morning this one: The Isle Verte/Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs video overview
It's Mr and Mrs GT Rider that talked me about this place when we met them in RDL last season. They also did put some nice pics/details in their photo report. They receiveid the hint themselves from mikerider, so I want to thank all of you for having lead us to discover this nice hidden spot!
It is a small island in the St- Lawrence river approximately 20 mile east of Rivière du Loup which is connected to the south shore via a ferry in the summer, but only accessible in winter by sled via an ice bridge . They have their own groomer that surface the island road and little part of the ice bridge up to the main section of the river. Since there is no car traffic on the island, the trucks and cars are all buried in the snow and they use snowmobile as a daily transportation.
Their trails are probably not federated because they are not on any trail map, it is not a  well known spot for sure!. It's a small place(around 8 miles long) that comes out of the ordinary with beautiful coastal lanscape/colored houses, also their lighthouse worth the view... by the way it is the 3rd oldest in Canada and the older on the St-Laurence river, built in 1809!
As usual, it's best viewed in 1080p on large screen with the sound "on"....enjoy!

    From north to south
When leaving the airstrip on the sled trail going to Casey you’ll cross a cement bridge over a narrow river with some houses to the right on the shore line, straight ahead less than a klm the trail goes up a slope, look to your left for a very narrow path like a hiking trail. That would be it, go 500’ in and your there.
    Good luck
