Had a good ride to Amqui today. Trails were remarkably decent considering the heat wave..

That's awesome. Considering the snow we saw up there last week it shouldnt be a problem. Just sucks at the gas stations, roadside/bridge crossings and hotels. The rest is still more than great. Have an even BETTER day tomorrow guys !!!

Love the photo where it was nice enough out to drag the chairs out of the hotel room and hang out

Hope you have a great ride up,the 595 It was super sweet last week

Thanks very much. It was 42° F when we arrived in New Richmond this afternoon. Hoping things are cooler tomorrow. Would like to make the last trip longer. Don't want to return to Maine in the snow or mud though..

Yesterday we rode from New Richmond to Matane. The 595 was pretty good up La Cache. It got rough after that, as was the 5 all the way to Matane. Today we had a fairly early start. 0648. We got into Fort Kent, Maine at 1:30. Great trails all day. 206 miles. Tomorrow we have a little over 100 miles to the truck. It's warm here this afternoon, so we will hit it early tomorrow again, and hope some grooming got done. Supposed to go down to 12° F here tonight.

We left the Northern Door Inn in Fort Kent  yesterday at 0652, 14 degrees F. Trails in town were groomed and hard. My friend's sled , a 2023 Renegade Enduro 900 Turbo started overheating immediately. We could not understand , as we had encountered similar conditions each of the previous three mornings, and his sled ran consistently cooler than my 21 Viper.Neither of us have scratchers. We will before we ride again. Going into the fields did not help. We had stopped three times in one hour, and only got fifteen miles. I knew somebody staying in the area, and he picked up my friend and his sled at a road crossing. I rode to the truck, and drove the 61 miles back North to pick him up. Overall great trip, with some great conditions, despite daily temperatures approaching or reaching 40 degrees F. We put on 1000 miles, and this concludes our 2023 Snowmobile season. Already looking forward to visiting Quebec in the "Off Season" And hope to be able to ride more, and further into Quebec in 2024.

Here are the photos of our trip.

Update: The dealer suggested the overheating problem could be caused by the air ride suspension being set too high. I did observe his sled kicking snow  out under the flap. Typically that snow, or at least some of it,  would be deflected back under the sled. The theory does make some sense, and would explain why the sled did not overheat on the previous three mornings when the conditions were similarly hard and ice-like.  He had played with the suspension. Yesterday my sled received his annual bath, grease, and was filled with stabilized fuel. He is ready for his ten month hibernation.
