Jackstraw
All open ride it guys. Iceman, What do you think about leaving trucks at the Gouvenour in Shawinigan. It says locked corral for trucks. Richards place is not open this year.
scorpionbowl
Iceman, What do you think about leaving trucks at the Gouvenour in Shawinigan. It says locked corral for trucks. Richards place is not open this year. We leave them there all the time. The corral isn't the biggest. Still, make sure you take the usual precautions, there is sled/truck crime in the area... Florida Snowman
Hi Jackstraw, No charge to put your rigs into the locked coral at the Gouverneur Shawinigan as long as both "Bookend" nights are with them. We have left from there for many years. Great starting spot. We used to leave from further north with Richard at the Mekinac or with Edgar at the Montagnard. Have fun at the gathering. Thanks for the PM. Lets chat when you return.

Thanks for the PM. Lets chat when you return. Sounds good, it sucks Richards place isn't open this year. We usually get up there around 2pm, park the trucks, load the bags on the sleds and take off. We only stay at the hotel on the return night. Whats good about launching from there, lac Edouard, St. Raymond and Du lac Repos are all 100 miles from there give or take a few. makes for a nice 1st day ride. Scranton1
All open ride it guys. Iceman, Any confirmation the m1 trail is open from the governor. I called the hotel and spoke to the receptionist....she said the trail wasn't open last week but they got new snow and she assumed it was open. I asked if they had any snowmobiles in there now.....her answer was no. I believe the M1 crosses some water and could be a cluster @);&k getting out of there. iceman
No problem from there. Might not be anyone staying there right now but trails are all fine. Rode by the trail to Governor today. River is solid no worries with that. Go for it. If you wish to be farher up north near richards, go to Marineau Hotel in Mattawin. Not necessary at all but if you want to be more north. Up to you.Right now looking great. Night and day from last week.
