Stinx
Greetings, Its been several years since I have been back to Quebec. Next week we are planning to ride out of Shawanagin, staying at Motel Safari or possibly the comfort Inn. In years past we would ride from Shawnagin to Latuqe then to relay 22 then from Relay 22 to Robervel. Once in Roberval we stayed at the Chateua Robervel. I would like to do this ride again. Can it still be done? If so what are the trails we would take. On the return I recall we left Robervel then traveled through a state park then we got gas at a place with a teepee (elatape?) I believe we then went to St Raymond and then back to Shawanagin. Any help as far as trail numbers gas stops etc would be greatly appreciated. If memory serves me correct its about a 300 mile trip one way.

revct1
Hi Stinx, Welcome to QuebecRider. Relais 22 does have lodging, food and gas. We've never stayed there though. It is at the intersection of trails 73 and 83. Trail 73 has been re-routed this year due to logging. We haven't been on it this year but Playhard has and since he didn't say anything bad, I'm figuring it is OK. The phone for Relais 22 is 819-523-6222. It isn't a big place so it would be good to call first to make a reservation. There aren't any other accommodations near by. Happy trails to you. Jack & Sandi :)

markusvt
Relay 22 is good in/out all directions. Basic, basic, basic, I mean BASIC place to stay, but cheap, and they are nice. If you want nicer, 20 miles away is Windigo, awesome place for sure! Edited February 14, 2012 by markusvt
