benz500
Planning on a trip in a few weeks that starts us at the four points sheraton in Charlesbourg riding trail #3 up to the Casino. From there, we are gonna continue on # 3 up to the ferry that crosses to Tadoussac and continue on to trail #93 to the Auberge KM 31. Does anyone have first hand knowledge about the ferry crossing? Do we need reservations? Does the ferry run certain hours? 24 hrs/day? Anyone with info please let me know. Would hate to get there and be SOL. tHANKS
dooright
Boat runs 24/7/365. Easy to find right on Tq3. Crossings are about every 20 minutes or so , and it's free ! Pic from last Thursday

snowdogs
super easy and pretty cool, just pull up and wait until the deckhand waves you aboard, It's a great experience your first time, as said above 24/7, this ferry basically is a major highway link, enjoy ! momojohnny
They cant build a bridge across this fjord. The current and depth is 2 intense. So, they have this efficient ferry's system. Really fun to cross. Edited January 29, 2014 by momojohnny
skidooccio
Try to cross in the daylight. The views are pretty cool. 180 miles from the Castle to Auberge 31.
benz500
Are you saying that it is 180 miles from the casino to km 31?
Greasemonkey
Defianatly a nice expierience, especially if they have to break ice as they go. You can go up front and watch the ice breaking and the docking procedure up close. Last time I was on it, 3 pickups pulled on coming from Labrador loaded to the hilt with caribou. I am talking like 4 or 5 per truck. That was a site.
Trygve45x
Are you saying that it is 180 miles from the casino to km 31? Depends on whether you take 3 and 93 all the way up or grab some of the club trail shortcuts. It can be as short as 165 from Casino/Castle to Auberge 31. Either way an great run and several gas options along the way!
