Oilman
Day 1: 2 sleds leave RDL. Head down 526 to 85 south. Take 85 south to Degelis. Trail flat with 2-3 inches of Pow. From there take 571 north to Squatec. Few bumps but 7/10. Have coffee and then head on 35 west to trail 5 near Rimouski. Perfect trail , now 3-5 inches of Pow. Take 5 East to Mont Joli. Here again trails flat and groomed. 4-6 inches of Pow. Mint!! From there take 587 south to Amqui. Flat and fast. The new snow gets less as we head towards Amqui. 1-3 inches of Pow. Decide to head south/east on 5 down towards Albertville and check on clubhouse. Closed. Forgot it was Wednesday. Closed at 4:00 today. Head back north/west back to Amqui and get to hotel. Selecthotel. What a great day of riding. Snowed hard in the morning and then on/off until 2:00. After that sun came out and it was beautiful. Fields early in day were white out, but woods were fine. Saw maybe 5 sleds all day, got to love mid week in late March in Quebec. 260 miles for the day. Could have not asked for better conditions. All the dirt roads, road crossings, parking lots were frozen up again with snow on them. Looked like mid winter again. Off to Murdochville tomorrow. Here are some pics for today. Oilman
Day 2: Left Amqui out local trail to 5 West. Took Trail and went along side lake. Perfect condition. (Thank you Groomer for all you do). Took trail 591 north toward Matane back to trail 5. Here again flat and fast. Took trail 5 East to Cap-Chat. Trail was in Awesome condition. Long flat stretches that went for miles. Snow was mint! Went back west on 5 and connected with trail 595 south. Took 595 south to La Cache. Got gas, but did not know the restaurant was closed. No problem. We just head for Murdochville on local orange trail. Views up here on a clear day are tremendous. Been through here three times, but always have been cloudy and snowy. Awesome. Grab quit bite at Copper. Still to early. Run up 597 to Trail 5 and then back to Hotel Copper. Here now having a beer and dinner. Still cold. Temp here around 5 degrees currently. All trails are 9/10. Unreal for Late March! Here are some photos of the day. Bill im4snow

jak
Sounds like you are having a great ride, wish I were there. Obviously no issues with your sled overheating. Have a safe fun trip and hopefully we can get hooked up next season. Joe Oilman

Oilman
Day 3: Leave Murdochville up trail 597, morning temp was around 5 degrees, sunny skyes. Arrive at trail 5, freshly groomed, first on it. The plan was to go west, we go east. Run 5 East to Rivière la Madeleine. Perfect trail. Stop quickly there and turn back west on 5 and head for Mont Louis. Still no sleds on the freshly groomed trail. All mint!! From Mont Louis we head for Sainte Ann De Monts. Freshly groomed with just a hand full of sleds on it. Have Lunch. Stay on 5 west and head for Matane. Stop at clubhouse just 18 miles East of Matane. Great clubhouse. Beer and snack and off we go. Little early so we take orange trail to the south and head for a local bar in Saint-Luc. What a good time. All locals in there and chatted with them the best we could for an hour or so and a few beers. It's about 5:00 so we decide to head to our Hotel in Matane. Quality Inn. Nice spot, have stayed here a few times. Nice room and nice restaurant and Bar combo. 255 miles for the day. Trail 5 was freshly groomed all the way. Could not ask for a better day of riding in Late March. Incredible!! Here are a few pics of the day.
