Saguenay Bill Posted May 4, 2017 Report Share Posted May 4, 2017 When I was managing Citrus ( Orange Plants) in Florida back in the late 60o's early 70's we used these to unload the semis full of oranges, 500 boxes of oranges, 50,000 lbs, per semi. We had 3 of them so there was never any lag. When the first one went empty there would be 10 second break and then the second one started and so on. 10 minutes per load. Oranges went into holding bins, each bin held a load. From the bins they went thru a wash, another grading station and on to the extractors. Each extractor could squeeze 700 oranges per minuted.
