Teamgreen
Planning a trip to Sept Isles from the ferry at Godbout. Heard that there are some really steep hills . How steep are they? Would there be problems if fresh snow or icy spots? How to prepare? Call ahead? Avoid if bad weather? Thanks, Teamgreen
smclelan
The hills are all between Godbout and Baie Comeau, it is smooth from the ferry east. The hills really are not that bad but caution should be taken on that section. Extra caution should be taken if it were icy. quebec bob
Yes, you do not want to miss a corner on these hills, pay attention, keep right, and enjoy it. Maybe some folks who are afraid of heights and high bridges could get a little nervous but I think it is doable if you be careful, you will build your confidence, and you want to see this place, close to Gaspe beauty!! Teamgreen
Thanks for all the replies. Looks like we are heading to Matane to take the ferry to Godbout so will miss those hills. We are heading to the Havre St Pierre with good luck and weather with us.

Teamgreen
Took the ferry today to godbout an then on to sept isle. Although it was somewhat warm the snow was grippy and groomed most all the way . Probably 40-50 miles of some really great open running. Staying at comfort Inn and heading to Havre st pirrelevant tommorow. Bought some gas cans for the 102 mile run.
Trailblazer
No need to bring gas with you, you can get gas at Riviere Tonneau.

We will be going the same way in the AM. There are two spots to get gas on the way to HSP. We are here at the same hotel.
