Fuse6
Parts of the trail between Forestville and KM31 near Mont Valin is the intermittent orange trail. Local non subsidized according to the map legend. Is this route usually groomed and a good option assuming normal weather conditions or Non-maintained and a off trail challenge? We are starting in Sacre Coeur, travelling to Sept illes. Then back track to Forestville to head up to Saguenay for a couple days before returning to Sacre Coeur. Also is KM 31 the type of place should reserve mid week late Feb? Will be our 5th night on the trail. Between weather and machine hard to predict schedule later in the trip. Jackstraw
I've taken that trail a few times always groomed. May take a little longer after a big dumping of snow. We never book a room more then a day in advance, Call the day before and make sure. They don't have a lot of rooms and there tiny Fuse6, mccaffrey and 800steve

Nice canyon run with a set of waterfalls to view. The grooming isn’t as frequent but an awesome ride. Km 31 should be fine mid week, but it’s always good to call the day before. Ask for Nicolas, he is bilingual 😉 Happy Trails! Fuse6
RoadRunner
Ps. The route you have drawn is an unmarked river crossing on the Portneuf River . It is fine, but not groomed at the river crossing and a single track trail on the west side of the river back up to the orange trail. If you don’t want to do that, just run 3 west from Forestvillle and pick up the orange trail at Portneuf sur Meir. Snobeeler
If you go toward Les Escoumins after Forestville via 3, the orange trail is known as the Pelchat trail. It is groomed half way by the Hotel Pelchat and groomed from other end by ?? and is usually very good due to low traffic. It ends at 93 near KM 31.
