Arrived at Lac Faillon at 4 pm yesterday after a 5th consecutive blue sky day. Trails were superb as they have been the entire way around the 83/93
I haven’t been here since covid and have heard all about the no served/cooked meals and the prepared only options they give you here now. Have read where a lot of guys don’t like that setup. I for one wish ALL the outfitters would do this. They are only charging 170+ for the room so all in it’s like 100 bucks Canadian a guy. Then you get what food or drinks you want and pay separate. And they had a GREAT selection of stuff prepared. I only had the vegetable soup as I pigged out in Clova and just wasn’t that hungry. You can’t seem to get out of any of other outfitters for less than 210,220,230,240 so I’ll take this setup all day long. Plus Faillon has nicer rooms than most of the outfitters!!!
We are blasting back 65 miles to the trucks in Senneterre this morning and finishing our trip. 1000+ miles for the week was just right for us old guys. Couldn’t have had a better group and everything went perfect. The kind of snowmobiling trips you dream of.
I leave you with a picture of the “Club Clova” poutine. A massive sandwich that’s sure to hit the spot on even the biggest guy. Besides your normal club with chicken, bacon, etc. they add an egg and a burger. Truly amazing!!!
