Great day to close out the visit. Quick trip to Kamouraska by means of 5. Return via 557 to 35, 561, 5 & back to the hotel. Cool, crispy/firm, fast & a snowdust chem trail blind day. Naturally, it being Saturday, the traffic increased significantly.
Sleds are strapped down & ready to roll in the AM. About a dozen trailers in the enclosed corral and another dozen + in the lots surrounding the hotel.
We encountered a pair of Quebec's finest on two independent occasions today, to & from, running radar & checking stickers on 5 between 588 & the black tar road @ Relais Les Aventuriers. Thankfully, no one in our group was calibrating their speedometer, as we had only left the hotel minutes earlier and were stretching/warming up the tracks. After a brief cordial exchange, thanking them for their service, we were off & running.
We introduced "experienced" friends, who arrived late this week, & first time riding sleds in Quebec, to the stretches on 35. Needless to say, they were impressed & are still talking about it. They say there is no comparison to the trail riding here and the trails in NH, ME, & Vt. Agreed!
Stay safe. Happy trails. Till next time.
Best,
Paddy O
