Thanks guys I REALLY APPRECIATE the offers but Jeffrey and I just talked a moment ago and sadly agreed to bag the trip.
The “nail in the coffin”.......turns out to be....nonetheless AGAIN.....that WHORE Mother Nature!!!!!
We have the “window” of after work this Friday till not having to be back to work until Thursday morning. But the “WHORE” wants to throw a snowstorm on our 500+ mile drive day. Even if we tried to push it off for wed/Thurs/fri next week the “WHORE” intervenes AGAIN with 40F+ temps the whole time.
i always hate when you finally realize your season is over. Especially when you were on the cusp of one last good ride.
well......time to start thinking and preparing for next season......

Appreciate that but RDL is way too far for me and only have limited days off. Would love to do the Gaspe as I havnt been there in about 4 yrs now.  Two weeks from now in Mattawin is anyone's guess on conditions.

I probably have well over 1000 snowmobile photos and less than a dozen are true "keepers", almost professional looking. I have had to work hard at it over the years and still nowhere as good as say Towing is.
I found this today over on HCS Quebec website today. Some guy who lives in "western Quebec" took this (or his friends did) this past week in the Chic-Chocs.
It has my vote for best snowmobile pic EVER SNAPPED. Does it have your vote too?
Feel free to post what ya got on here (good, bad, ugly) and we will try and keep it going.
If that was me in that pic I would have it made on an 8x10 ft piece of wallpaper to put in my bedroom no matter the cost.

The guys up outside of Le-Bel-sur Quevillon that got busted could have been a “one off”  and my guess is you won’t have any trouble. But just like anywhere else you never know where a patrol might show up. As stated you guys will be coming through on Sunday. For 70 miles south of Chapais you have literally nothing or (a few) road crossings all the way to the depanneur/gas in Desmairsville. And that trail is a 1km feeder up to the rt 113 rd. Then 20 miles south of there you pass thru Miquelon (don’t blink) but that is Indian territory and have never heard of the cops being there. From there you have another 42 miles or so into Lebel-Sur. That’s where I would be concerned (north of Lebel-Sur) as they obviously found a sweet spot to sit near the road. Now there are some 2-3 ??? road crossings on that entire run but I can’t remember exactly where and they were not the 113 main road. One has a house and garage near the crossing.

I have not either and interested to what your experience was. Every time I get within a 100 yards of a church I start hearing that eerie music from the "Omen" series of horror movies back in the 80's. I figure it's a warning for me so I tend to stay away.

Our last planned trip to the motherland has gotten foiled at the last moment. Quebec Bob, myself and Jeffrey were going to go to Andre's camp this Saturday for 4 days with a night at Haltaparche in the middle. Bob has had to bail due to work commitments and can't go. So being that my sled is a boat anchor at the moment and Bob was bringing a spare that leaves two guys and one sled.
The plan was to arrive at Mattawin or Lecabanon this Saturday by late morning and head to the camp. It is 50 miles from Mattawin to the camp and 75 miles from Le Cabanon. We were going to spend sat/sun night there, up to Haltaparche monday night (shower) and back to the camp Tuesday night. Wednesday morning out of camp and back to truck.
We are trying to come up with something short notice but not having a lot of luck. Renting is really not conducive from our launch point nor makes fiscal sense because we are not going to be doing a lot of miles this trip. 500 or less would be my guess.  Plan was to drive my truck with Jeffrey's Yamaha in the back.
I have not missed a March ride in Quebec except last (Covid) year in 20yrs but it's looking like it's gonna happen two years in a row now.
I figured I would throw this on QR as anyone reading this here knows my back round and I know they are a serious sledder as well just by being on this site.
So if anyone has the time and at least a 500cc fan cooled (reliable) extra sled (i would buy trail pass w/insurance) and wants to tag along with the above itinerary get ahold of me ASAP. We are near Rochester, NY and travel 90/81/401 to get to Quebec.
Rest assured, it will not be boring as none of our trips ever are. We strive to have fun, fun ,fun  and trouble free trips.

    IKE,
i was looking at this photo again and it truly is damn amazing. If it's you it looks like you adjusted the jacket and posture ready for a professional shoot.
Probably wouldnt go anywhere but I would send it to BRP. Tell them for a measily Oxygen you'll sign the rights over for one of their brochures.

Always been exactly the same for me. I attribute it to not being able to shift your weight and lean as easily on your left side. Well, thats the way it is for me at least.
I can get the same result as a right but have to work harder at it.

I cant remember a season when I DIDN'T pass someone on the right. I only do so when it is 100% safe after intently studying the moron in front of me. And I could care less what they or their group thinks. This year I almost got the same guy twice in one day. I was about to pull the trigger and bagged it at the last second as the guy was just too erratic (probably after a couple pops at the Repos). If I had successfully passed him twice I was going to come to a full stop afterwards, walk up to him and say "dude you need some riding lessons" but unfortunately I didnt get the chance.

This is where they nailed them where my mouse pointer is aiming. Had a Vermont buddy and crew go through there today and they could see where they were.
A WARNING if anyone knows someone travelling by there in the next couple weeks. I'm sure they need a couple more bucks for that big Surete du Quebec summer clam bake.
