Excellent two days out of the Pelchat. We are southbound this morning for home, but a nice run to break in a couple new machines.
Day 1 was to Forestville for lunch at the Danube, which is great as usual. Fueled up and back to the Pelchat, short run. Little reroute headed toward Forestville but nothing crazy. 
 
Yesterday saw us headed to La Chapelle via the 420 but didn’t run it all the way up. We didn’t know what our plans were as the snow was coming down and we got a late start. Took a left and ran to 93. All quick and smooth running…The Turbo R Expedition SE’s have some serious legs over the old 1200 XU machines! Got out to 93 and headed up. La Chapelle was cranking busy, so we picked up fuel there and had lunch at KM31. It’s pretty rough the last 15 miles or so running in/out of there. Otherwise, stellar experience.
Issues/incidents and discovery: The new Montana 700i worked fantastic, especially with the built-in inReach for text communication. The air suspension on the two new Expedition SE’s in our crew failed. One compressor runs but dumped all the air out 105mi away from Pelchat yesterday, which really sucked and I feel like the tin man right now. The other one keeps cycling up and down on its own.
105mi on a tank of fuel in the Expedition. 15.1 miles on the fuel light before it runs out, but very loose snow and lots of spinning headed up the hill yesterday. Did much better coming down.
Great to get a ride in before the new year! Safe travels.

Besides who can hold a magnet there riding down a trail  going fast !!!!!!

Yep! Tow'ee should demonstrate great gratitude to the tow'r, at the garage and at the bar!
 

The actual concern was if they caged and trucked it back north, they'd have to put it on the Gauthier to cross the St Lawrence and it would sink, the bear would swim away, and track down the a$$hole who approved such a Sh!tty Vessel.......
Sad to See the result.
Scared because the paper would\could have read " On his second attempt to go around the Gaspe MrGutZ was eaten by what he thought at first was a big dog...."

Now there is a real possibility of a vaccine in a few weeks....I am hoping it is true ...and that people who get the vaccine will be able to travel again. I will be feeling like a 12 year old going to Disney world on summer break if we can cross that border to ride by Jan 1st!! I love riding my bike, hunting with my Lab and chasing trout with my fly rod, but nothing seems to re-kindle my spirit or recharge my soul quite like Quebec's majestic winters and the camaraderie out  on the trail..Last season started a few weeks from now...here is to hoping, right now it is all we have!!

Slow pro was given the readers digest ( yes, i'm dating myself) version of Quebec riding! I think he was in awe of the trails and the adventure.

-3c with freezing drizzle right now.
not alot to be excited about yet. Maybe 5” of snow on the ground. It’s white and surely more encouraging than looking at the grass. We need a major storm or two to kick things into gear.
River St Mauricie not safe at all yet. Way too early for me to trust the Ice anywhere yet. Sure it might be fine, but it will be surely better in a few weeks. 
Showing snow for Tuesday but only time will tell. 
When it is time it will be time. Good things come to those who wait. 
Or we can all drive to Abitibi. No?

I'm sure you have heard this before.  I love the pictures, keep up the good work. During the summer your pictures take me back to the beautiful places, the hospitality and the fantastic trails.

First time poster and long time lurker.
I arrived at the Universal late Thursday night for a long weekend with my wife.
Friday the trails were a lil soft with somewhat new snow on them. After a weekend of riding the trails got better and were packed down nicely. Sunday was warm with plenty of sun. In town will be dry with wheels down but the trails are in fantastic shape.
The sun is high in the sky and the days are longer which should make the temps and rides warmer. With that said, I don't believe the warm up will have a drastic effect on the trails. 
The pictures are East of Squatec on 35 and the other Is 85 St Modeste, both on Sunday afternoon. 
I'm just about to head home and back to reality.. and the rat race. Until next year...
