Last year I went from Val D'or to Clova via 83. It was 216 miles. I stoped for lunch and fuel at Balbuzard Sauvage (819) 737-8681 http://www.balbuzard.com/index.html . I spent the night in Clova at Alberge Clova 819-662-3327 http://www.clova.ca/ (or you could check out Hôtel Tamarac 819-662-3319) The next day I went to Relais 22. It was 209 miles. 819 523-6222 http://www.relais22milles.com/ I stoped for gas in Parent and then again at Wemotaci. I dont know what kind of milage you like to do in a day. It is about 160 miles from Relais 22 to the HI It is about 300 miles from Parent to the HI It is about 585 miles from Val D'or to the HI Hope this helps.

Where are the trail police when you need them :D It has been a strange start this year with high temps in some areas. I have observed temps in Harve St Pierre at 40 and 18 here in New york. Many places in Quebec with a green Christmas. Thanks for the updates Groomer. Happy New Year.

I live in NY. I have read many stories about NY police writing BS tickets that were for revenue generation. I have read stories about BS tickets in the UP. I guess cops will be cops. Its lousy when you get burned with a BS ticket. In my opinion I would not let a ticket (and a cop that I would never see again) keep me from enjoying a great vacation on Quebec trails. Thanks for the heads up on Rawdow.
