For the time being, it will no longer be necessary for snowmobilers who hold their annual right of access from the Fédération des clubs de motoneigistes du Québec (FCMQ) and who ride on federated trails to register and pay their driving fees. in Zec Martin-Valin.The Zec Martin-Valin, located on the north shore of the Saguenay, made the announcement by press release Monday afternoon. She explains that she obtained a temporary exemption following discussions with the MRC du Fjord-du-Saguenay and the Ministry of the Environment, the Fight against Climate Change, Wildlife and Parks (MELCCFP).
This exemption therefore allows the zec to “obtain the flexibility necessary to apply an exemption from pricing and temporary registration”, can we read in the press release.
On the other hand, snowmobilers who travel off the federated trails, who practice off-trail, while visitors who pass through the zec reception desk will have to register, otherwise they risk fines of approximately $400.
“We sincerely want to sit down with all our partners to take stock and find solutions to end the season in style. We are also open to any form of collaboration with our partners to set up projects that will allow us to achieve our development objectives, "said the director of the Zec Martin-Valin, Marie-Josée Savard, in a press release. .
Joined by Radio-Canada, director Marie-Josée Savard adds that it is because of the absence of an agreement with the FCMQ that they had to apply the provincial regulations.
Remember that the daily fee of $13.46 imposed on snowmobilers by the zec had aroused the dissatisfaction of users of federated trails and owners of businesses living from tourism linked to the snowmobile industry on the territory of the zec.

Unfortunately, my trip was cut short by an upper idler wheel in rear suspension. Dealer in Sennetterre tried everywhere to find one with no luck. I can’t believe no dealers have this vital part in stock. Did get 675 miles in 3 days so not a total loss.
What year sled, how many miles?

Looks good thank you. Know about no gas at sawmill. Have 5 sleds. 4 sleds are carrying gas.

Obedjiwan. Probably 30 plus years ago. My dad made that trip through there and ended up in chibougamau. Obedjiwan people are different. Bars on windows of every building. Coolers full of beer in gas station. Car pulled in with windshield gone out of it. Then I guess they get going in the bar and then the bar closes down Everyone ends up in middle of town. Then a hour later the bar is back open lol.
