  2. I got a speeding ticket last winter on the rail line not far from Trailblazers chalet. I know there was police ahead but thought they were at the junction so was still doing 94kph. just under $300, my buddy who was behind me was some how going faster and his was mid $3's
  3. Thanks for this Are you done for the season or do I recall you're off to Gaspe?

    Trail report

Spoke with my buddy and he got up Saturday and trailered from Mt Laurier to St Ann. Word was trails not that great between. This is where we usually ride from but since he was only going to Clova was hoping to extend his ride. He left things to Thursday before he called to book and all the northern places were booked. I suggest at least for Saturday booking in some where. Wish I could join you but have to work part of Friday Mike
  5. Cool, Thanks Will have to see if I can find a recruit to go next weekend or so
  6. Where is this? cant find it on the map and I usually go towards the delta but this looks like a nice option thanks

My buddy left from either mt laurier ir ferme neive this morning i will get an update Monday and let u know
  8. Just an fyi alot of this section hasn’t been groomed in 3 weeks i would call La Verendre lodge closer to your depart date to see if its been resolved otherwise it won’t be a memorable trip in the way you want just my 2c
  9. Ontario is mostly volunteer but Quebec they get paid
  10. We just came back from Lac Faillon today and went up from Le Domaine. Trails from there to the reserve were awful When we pulled into the Domaine this aft there was someone practicing the use of the groomer. Apparently as the story goes the previous operator of 10 years had a disagreement and quit and they haven't been able to fill the spot. We spoke to another rider at the gas pumps at the reserve and he's from Val'D'or and said they've also had some issues with getting operators. I can tell you the usual nice ride up through was bad. It got better just after the gas at the reserve and was great up to Lac Faillon Also I didn't' realize they made the trail change where you need to ride to the Laverendre Lodge now. This adds about 30+ miles and much is tight & twisty. If you don't need gas I suggest taking the old route which is literally just 5 miles of some rough on the old road. Mike
  11. Curious to know if there is a sign at the end that says "The end"
  12. That's what I was hoping to hear since I ordered already as well. Thanks Gutz
  13. Terry regarding the helmet, was the sizing/fit the same as the BV2S? I want to order but I have found some helmets fit differently. Thanks in advance Mike
  14. Apparently the new skidoo bags are not labelled Skidoo but now Linq as they saw an opportunity to sell more to the non skidoo brand riders and some wouldn't want the "skidoo" name on their sleds I found hat acetone takes it right off! Getting back on track, beautiful pictures and glad to hear you're enjoying. Its a bucket list run for sure.
  15. Saturday was one of the best riding days I've had this winter. Great temps and awesome trails. Left from Ste Anne du Lac and went to Balbuzard. Snowed over night and ruined everything Sunday. Was heavy snow and with the traffic a mogul course was set up quickly. Quebec spring break I believe this week so riders could see more than usual, just an FYI Thanks for the pics and update.
  16. Bob they have a new helmet for next season check it out on the Doo site be sure to post about your trip as well Thanks
  17. I seen once on the move on the 93? I think heading towards Roberval but that is sheer brilliance getting that. Usually best I can get are some cougars when I'm at the bar :)
  18. Spoke to the local doo dealer and apparently they are limited, at least for this year so he's not offering any discount and he's limited to 50 as it's based on sleds sold and he sold about 270 apparent;y If anyone knows a dealer stateside that is or will offer better pricing, please let me know. Thanks Mike
  19. $750 Canadian plus they show a visor and light option for about another $90 considering most dealer around here wont or don’t discount much I think I will wait for the ebay deals
  20. Looking through the catalogue they have a new helmet which looks intriguing other than the price. Some new Linq items as well. That Red Back Country looks sharp. After many successful years on Cats I'm thinking of crossing over. The weight is starting to catch up with me and like the more 50/50 use and opportunities it holds going forward. However if we keep getting this snow rain freeze cycle not sure what will be the best sled.
  21. I've cancelled this weeks trip. I figure one's going to have to travel a fair bit for good trails and likely with snow forecast best to wait. Those going please provide some live from the trail side reports please. Mike
  22. ya lets see the mitts! I've been looking the past winter at outfitters for some Hyde gloves with the beads etc. Never knew this place existed. I will have to schedule a run through Mike
