What's the word on riding up there at this point? off trail mostly or still snow in areas. How long are you going, maybe get my buddy and go up in tandem. Mike

Looks real nice, for a doo that is :) I do actually like the new schemes this year and they are a good machine, I like the 1200 myself but it is heavier. Hope to actually meet you next winter, just a little over 7 months till Valin

Any one got any word on if there is any riding still going in this area? I would assume there is snow, maybe no money for grooming. I'm having withdrawal and would find a little run. I tried to log in to Ian's cameras but cant figure it out. Thanks Mike

Apparently its new owners this year. Was there 2 winters a go and its a great place. Trail at that time was decent as well. I had to call the Gaspe info for the number this winter and that's what they said. I lost my deposit a few weeks ago as I couldn't make it during that storm. However they said if I come within a year they will apply it to my next stay. So I'm ok with that especially if there is a gathering next spring. These are small outfits not large chains that can afford dropped reservations. Was going to try the Gaspe this weekend but going to Abitibi instead, closer drive, report to follow.

Groomer Have you been told when the groomers will be finished for the season in the Gaspe yet? I'm hoping to do another small loop the first weekend in April. Also I remember in the past seeing or hearing about some radar run where the trees are really cool looking. Where will I find this and will it still be good this late in the season. Thanks Mike

I'm heading out of Saint Raymond Saturday am to the Delta. From what I remember if trails are good I will be there after lunch. Looking for a suggestion as to ride in the afternoon. Also as far as gas I believe it's Letape and do I need another stop after this or am I good till I get up north? Thanks Mike

Yes its not the bet place but its either there or stay in Manawaki or go all the way through to Val Dor. There is the odd outfitter in between but not much choice. They have a place just down the road that is better than the units across the road as well.

Since camping is out maybe we should head back to Groomers

I remember hearing a few years back that for $100 you could spend a night at an indian reserve in a teepee with food, some where past clova Would certainly be an adventure and something to scratch off the bucket list if its still going
