  1. I love the new pictures! You are as great a photographer as you are a groomer operator!
  2. Thank you for the info Greg. And thank you for the effort to help out the sport we all love!
  3. Ok Groomer, its starting to get old looking at the same pictures for two or three days....We want some new ones!!!!! Can't wait to see some!!!!! Thanks for posting them. Where I am I don't see much snow. As a mater of fact we don't want to see it here!!!! It's nice to see your pictures though. You do a great job!!!
  4. Phil are you going to try to do the whole loop? Just curious if you can make all the way yet?
  5. I find it hard to believe that they did this when they did just because they knew people had already invested in their trips. IMO it was a lack of thought of what the conciquences could be and maybe a little lack of knowledge about what they are really dealing with. BUT then again we are talking about polititions! I sure they are no different in Canada as they are here in the States!
  6. Anyone still look at these camaras?
  7. Not trying to make trouble but what is the fuel mileage comparison between the two? I know that many 900 ace owners brag about the distance per tank. Does the Yamaha compare?
  8. BTW the snow looked thin In Ottawa. It wasn't bad from Pembroke up.
  9. We just came back from Temiscaming. Rode from there to Val'dor day one. Back to Ville Marie day two. Short day back to truck and home to NY. Trails there were great. Home is at the 1000 Islands so 5 to 6 hours in the truck.
  10. Well my dad and I are on the way back to the truck after a great ride. I would say the trip went well. Some trails were not great but not bad. Some were beyond great! From Rimouski east was the best. Knowing what the weather was like up here a few weeks ago I can understand why the trails that weren't great are the way they are. All in all I would still give it a 10! BTW the Universall Hotel is PACKED tonight. Not sure if it's normally for a Saturday or is because of the free weekend?
  11. WOW..... Good info. I have been working for a man that deals with a lot of different financial institutions and he said pretty much the same thing. The conversation came up when I was telling him about our upcoming trip.
  12. Sound like you might have a LITTLE riding snow at home eh?
  13. I hope not either Mike. Hey I just noticed your from the coast of Maine. What part? My wife is from Damariscotta.
  14. That trail is nice through there.Signs were good a few years ago. From RDJ to Temiscaming is a GREAT trail. Be easy on the throttle,125 miles or so between gas. Or go up to the outfitter in Lavendry. 100 miles of nice trail.
  15. Not sure about now but last March we went across with one guy only having a birth cirtificate and drivers liscence. Going into Canada they pulled us in and did background checks. Coming back was just as normal. Customs guy said we were good and off we went.
  16. IF i understand this correctly it looks like the Gaspe' is going to get dumped on according to the 120 hr radar loop that is on the new web cam list! Any one else see it that way?
  17. Roadrunner what year sled are you having plug issues with? We just bought new 2015 800 etecs. Should we be concerned?
  18. Just curious if any one else has a new sled and can't wait to ride it? My Dad and I bought 800 Renegades this year. We picked up one last week and I got to ride it about 300 feet. Very impressed!!!! Now I stay up all night thinking how nice it's going to be riding a brand new sled in Gaspe' this year.
  19. Just curious if anyone has had this happen. In March my dad and I ordered two new ski doo sleds. Both of them are identical. Dad actually ordered them both in his name. Now the question is wouldn't you think by ordering two of the same thing at the same time you would be getting them at the same time. In my mind i would think they would be in sequence with each other. Maybe not? Anyone have an experience like this?
  20. We have thought about it many times. It is hard for us to make solid plans for our trip due to the type of work we do. So we just go when we can. Our sleds always stay at home in Clayton NY. We also try to get a ride in when we are there. This year was VERY good riding at home. A lot of ice on the river this year so it made for some good riding. We really don't mind the drive and it seems like we always have something to haul up or back.
  21. 1800 +/- on sleds this year! for Dad and I Way too many in the truck coming from North Carolina! On the other hand no it wasn't. WORTH EVERY MILE!!!!! Can't wait for next year!!!!!!!!
  22. Like 351 said..there is no gas for 125 or so miles. 4 of us did it with 2 ski doo 800 and 2 Cat 800. No problem if you just ride smart and stay out of the throttle. Great trail btw.
  23. That's why I do it! Could not ask for a better riding partner. As for riding again this year, I DON'T think I could do it anymore this year. Maybe if it were here in NC, but the 18 hours of driving has got my number!
  24. Just thought I would share a little bit of my good fortune this year! My Dad and I have been making trips to Quebec for the last 7 years. This year is the best one so far. In early February we rode in Gaspe for the first time and it was everything we have been told it was. We are planing to go back next year as we did not get to do the whole loop. This past weekend we had a chance to take my two best friends with us up to Abitibi-Temis. region. They had never been on trails like that. It was so fun for both Dad and myself to see the look on their faces every time we stopped. We had a good ride,600 miles in two days! Unloaded in Swisha and rode up 386 to Val-Dor. Stayed at the Comfort Inn. Trails were a 10 for sure! Left Val-Dor and down 309 to Belletere. Trail was in need of a groomer down to Rapids 7. Not bad though. I would say an 8. The rest was a 10. Belletere to Lorainville then down to Lake Kipawa. Trails were a10. Kipawa to Swisha. 125 miles of GREATNESS!!!! This trail had been groomed the day we left Swisha so when we came back maybe two sleds had been on it ahead of us. It is a long trip across with no gas stop but if you ride easy you should make it with no problem. We all ride 800s(two Ski-Doo,two Arctic Cat). Dad and I ended up with around 1700 miles for the year including a couple hundred riding around our home town in Northern NY. Not to bad for a couple guys that live in North Carolina now!!! Any way that is a little bit of our winter! Just thought I would share it with our Quebec Rider friends!!!!!!
