  1. Its a fawk of a lot better than driving 16 hours to Myrtle beach to play a few rounds of shitty golf?? or Sitting in a cubical for 8 hours a day making minimum wage??
  2. I was one of the four, I will make sure fozzy posts all the pics. Did close to 300kms ssome bare spots that were easy to get around, 267 and east of lachapelle on 93 were amazing..Things were bare at vinnies had to trailer up a bit but left from the new bar in valinouet. Stayed at passion. Fuel stop at auberge 31 was dirty getting up to the pumps.Hydro line was toast, not enuff snow to cover stumps and rocks and no support for sleds. But 85 % of it was to the bar riding, 14 celcius, shorts and tee shirts, oh and 300 kms on the Brand new leftover REAL Yamaha...priceless!!!!!!
  3. B.S you were playin with something and it went wrong, BTW, it is not a 2 stroke...you will need vice grips to compliment the M. Craft "channel locks" and a 10 or 12 mm somthing or other.
  4. Has there ever been a sled or a harley stolen in the U.S? Cuz I would like to visit but am refraining cuz of my concern about getting my stuff stolen? If this has never happened I may considering going to someplace safe like Detroit, NYC, Atlanta,Miami, Newark,L.A., St louis, One thing is for sure if the cops stop me I will not run. Maybe I am wrong but the American style and lack of native language may not get some people to far(kinda like mexico, just a way more civilized)...just sayin...I love Quebec...Go Habs Go!!!
  5. Do not give up ...rode mont valin Apr 14, 15, 16 ..waist deep snow, groomed till the 18th, go off trail get stuck! No dirt, no rocks, no traffic
  6. Yes I have stayed there, it's pretty good, bar/restaurant is nice, right in town, indoor pool etc, rooms were simple but clean, gas next door, easy trail access in all directions and on Thursday nights they offer some interesting entertainment(starts after after 10 I think??).
  7. Oh what to do when there are 6 sleds in the group...keep the hands on the bars, letting go of the brake hand is a save riding habit lol btw....there is always a sled coming around the next corner!
  8. I bet you guys would drive an hour to the nearest "Bed,Bath and Beyond" store to buy the wife new facecloths. An hour to sled in October, gas up the sled!! Too bad it's 8 hrs for me :(
  9. Yes doo dude we ride Pembroke around to Osgoode mainly(west and south of Ottawa), live in Ottawa. But travel frequently to find snow when needed.
  10. Anyone riding up there this weekend should be on the lookout for falling trees, in the 4 hours it took us to ride 25kms in and 25kms back out, there where significanly more downed trees...be careful there is a lot of heavy wet snow snow stuck them and they are leaning pretty good. oh BTW...riding powder all day is (I hate to say it)..overated.
  11. Did anyone go sledding in West Virginia, when Sandy came up??? They've had snow than Quebec so far.
  12. Never driven the cat turbo, was very impressed with the look and considered buying one. For the same reason you are thinking the 2011 and later Apexes did not seem any different from my 2007 gt and I wanted something different. I ended up buying another Apex(new 2011)after stripping it and adding this and that ..I realized it is very different, there has been a sheatload of stuff altered, improved, added, more HP,EPS, Exup, plastics, wheels, suspension geometry, frame, guage, exhaust, track lenght, skis, higher seat, engine tweaks etc.I have only driven it around the house, so can't speak for on trail manners...agreed it looks similar but it is a different animal.
  13. Theres no dam snow ...now no dam gas...jes*# Fin Ch^&*@...next thing the dam ballets will close...Then I will dam well quit sledding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  14. LMFAO...thats only cuz you were too dirty to be seen in public!!!!!! Now your wife can legimately blame me, for getting you gas(sed) cool to hear about the floats, as I was a little leary when buying it cuz of the lack of adjustability that I was used to with the Ohlins and GYTR.
  15. Hey Fozzy...I quess "Jackstraw" has seen some of your previous history...lol Maybe..since it's a "new sled" thread show them what a brand spanking new Nytro that has run out of fuel looks like!!! OH P.S FOZZ I will give you one more veiw of the new Apex that you will never ever see!!!!!
  16. I am confused..treated like cattle...??? It's a self serve gas bar in the middle of nowhere,no other choices, paying minimum wage, with no english(probally but,I'm not sure)with every one of us getting there after not seeing much snow south of there, saying OMG look at the snow(when they are sick of it), and bitching how hard it is too pull the hills to that point, and asking how far it is too the next town Saguenay or Quebec...and BLA BLA...then complaining even more about everything being in French... I'm Just sayin...by the end of my work season in November(seasonal summer only), the last thing I want to hear is "can you beleive it..it's supposed to go to 20c next week ..F OFF I say" ..sometimes people have the right to be grumpy!! where's the damn snow!!! lol.
  17. Come on already Alain.....where's the 2012/2013 reports. We are desperatly waiting!!!!!!!!!!LOL You live in a blessed area,I have ridden everywhers from Berthierville to Shawinigan over to St.micehel the Parc Tremblant..west to Montpellier etc. etc....Great reports...but get going on the 2013 ...can you not make it snow.????
  18. We often think of heading your way to fart around in "the snowbelt" early snows, but always figure that it would be sloppy and with no ice/frost the ditches/creeks would be too wet..but we don't know cuz never bin there?? It makes us pretty jealous up here to watch the weather network, going on about all the snow squals aargghh!!! I used to truck into your area, leamington, windsor, tecumseh 4 or 5 nights a week back when I drove with my uncle picking up veggies and tomatoe juice for the quebecers. The buds ride quite a bit around North Bay/Barry's Bay,The Park(rap), Mont Valin yearly,Tremblant park/St.donat,St Michel des saints and eastern Ontario(7,000kms a season)if you are truckin into our corner (of Canada lol)lets me know. That is if you ride with the blue(yamaha)guys
  19. Mother Nature teasing us... http://www.quebec511.gouv.qc.ca/en/cameras/saguenay/etape.asp Anyone hear if there is any flying around on the Mont Valin yet? Ya I know it's early, but.....
  20. Oh, I forgot, once in cochrane there is a couple of outfits doing guided tours straight north thru moosenee and continuing on to James/Hudson bays on the Ontario side. It is a couple of days they have an overnight camp somwhere and fuel...apparantly the Abitibi canyons are a true offtrail/mountain experience. You could start farther North and incorporate this leg.
  21. HMMMM....I might need to know your anti-helmet head secret!! or did you spend some time prepping the hair for the photo??lol I will save my cash on the calender! LSG rocks. Change of subject- Are you in the "snowbelt" or those "streamers" that come in off the lake or you too far west. This time of year we always hear about you gals down south getting feet of snow and we are golfing here in the Capital. So we often consider taking a spin down the 401 to buzz around(take the itch off) but have never done it. Is the early lake effect worth while or no.
  22. Hi Bill, You could try a border loop starting in ottawa, run the ontario side of the border(ofsc "A" trail) all the way north thru pembroke, North Bay,new lisgeard, timmons, cochrane. Then crossover the ont/quebec border into abitibi region then head south thru Val d,or, joncas, maniwaki, upper gatineaus and back to the Ottawa region.
