First Snowmobile Death

Seems like a guy from Montreal 64 years old.

Riding trail in St. michel-des-saints,

Was riding 2 up on 4 to six inches of snow.

Missed the curve and plunged into the lake.10 km west of st michel-des-saints Lake Anicet.

Passenger able to get out of water.

Went for help took one hour to reach a house to call for help.

Police responded and hours later found sled in lake.

Driver still missing

They suspect drinking was involved in the accident.

Sureté du Quebec divers found the driver body in the lake today around 11:30

few days before the season beginning, it remind us the hard way how things can turn out sometimes

Alcohol, speed, and water are the cause of most snowmobile deaths and injuries in North America.

Please everyone, ride safe, ride sober, and in control at all times.

Another drinkin death!!! I am just glad he did not hurt anyone else.

Unfortunately, no matter how much some of us preach the importance of NOT drinking while riding,

there are some out there who will insist that they can handle it and that others should mind their

business. I always cringe when I walk into a relay and the tables are loaded with empty beer bottles.

don't get me wrong, I'll have a half dozen or so at dinner and after but I'm in for the night.

Well, here's another reason why some of us preach and the season didn't even start!
