Seems something went sideways at a town meeting. The issue seems to be after the gas through town to the lake crossing.
According to one comment i read
The school board has concerns because of safety of kids at bus stop and people who go to the community mailbox.
And another
We need to go to the city council to see if the new mayor can find a solution. He knows the people who are blocking the way well.
seems to be game off again to pass through Lac Bouchette for now.

I know Eva had issues and is close, but no trail is a big issue, maybe they saw the future.
