Too Long Too Lean. Happens on Piston Lake too. LOL
I know to feather the throttle on long runs. It was spitting oil out the exhaust the prior 2 days. Oil slick in the snow. Was hoping to make it back to RDL that way. HaHa still did with a new block! 3 motors in 16,000 miles all under warranty!

Now that’s the review I’ve been looking for! I read somewhere that a Saturday night in chibougamau is about as close you will come to experiencing the bar scene in the first Star Wars episode!
Let's just say the locals like to drink! They have a small area in the back to park the sleds. Went out to have a smoke and there was a super drunk local girl smoking a cig. As soon as i passed she proceeded to trip over the ski and did a face plant into the snow. She managed to save the cig. She was apparently looking to make some cash back at your room. She was way over the legal weight limit for that! LOL!

To get the Chibougamau experience in its totality, staying downtown at the Hotel Chibigamau is a must. You and your friends will come away with great stories to tell your grand kids, and you will receive a decal proclaiming 'I survived a night in Chiboug'. A five star experience.
Yes it is quite the experience! Stayed there a few times!

Think I would just install a full keg in it and have a holder full of Solo cups. Red that is.
Maybe a bar and a brass pole!😁

I haven't parked my truck & trailer in Rimouski.
I have stayed at Hotel Rimouski (a ride through town snow coverage hit and miss) and
Hotel L'Empress (an easier ride). Both have restaurants.
I would call about parking.
Yep,
Sleds overheating by the time we got to hotel

Think it's safe to say that's that fastest and coldest trail in all of QC between Chapais and LSQ!

Pardon my dumb question. You no longer get a sticker to apply to sled? Does an annual pass give you a sticker?
Kinda strange really. Gives them cause to pull anyone over for questioning. A little like a green pass.
I got a sticker with my season pass

Hope they can put a stop to this. If this sticks, whats to stop every landowner from charging a fee to cross there land?
Probably nothing and if they don't get it they will shut the trail down.

I'm really hoping to read a post that says something friendly and welcoming sooner than later...everything we hear these days seems to have negative consequences for the 98 percent of us who do our best to conform and behave properly...I'm OK with enforcement when it doesn't impede folks properly going about their way...but constantly being checked or pulled over without probable cause just because you are driving by....some of these check points have a long line and 99.9 percent are just fine
Said it before, Beach bars, Bikinis and Golf are looking more enticing every year!

I am in total disagreement to pay for going on Mt-Valins federate trails because it pass on a ZEC and yes it is a very very dangerous precedent for the future. There are 84 zec in Quebec and in the past none of them had ever charge fees for snowmobile federate trails and there are a bunch of them that are opened in winter.
Martin Valin Zec administrators have smell the money and are at fishing on us actually to see if it work... let them know loud and clear if you are not agreeing that...
Here a map of the 84 Quebec's ZEC locations...
*84 toll booths? LOL! Good lord. Be like the garden state parkway!

I wonder if this is being blown out of perportion? Iceman hasn't heard anything on the French forms, is this a one in a thousand instance? I have a trip planned through the area and if I was stopped and charged $12 it would not end the season. The real danger of this whole thing is the pressident it could set. Government intervention is the only solution from the sound of the tone from Nancy at the Zec.
Don't think offered him the option of paying the $12. Just sending him a ticket in the mail

I'd say that's a rental tour. They all have a similar sticker on the windshield. It's true though
in most parking lots the brp sleds seem to outnumber everyone else 2 or 3 to 1.
HaHa, if that's a rental group in there it will take them an hour to get out! Especially all facing different directions! LOL! Beep, Beep <Beep!
