  1. That's ashame we stayed there a few years ago, he speaks great english. He just put an addition on the place also. I always wondered how tough it would be to run that place as a couple and spend all that time together, especially in the winter. I guess that answered my question!
  2. We left our trucks there for 7 days when we went to the winter gathering and we only stayed the last night and they didn't charge us.
  3. It had not been groomed when we where on it after the fresh snow. let's just say if your not going up hill your going down!
  4. Nice pictures BJ, it was great riding with you for the week. Eric's headed up Monday for the week, I was suposed to go but to much going on right now.
  5. At that speed you'll be down to th cable bridge and back in 20 ninutes! And I thoght you spent hours grooming!
  6. We went acroos that bridge 2 weeks ago, was wondering why it's so high up in the air? It was starting to get dark and looked like there was a dam to the one side. Ships go under?
  7. We usually just call ahead in the morning, but we usually go in march. Febuary is the busiest month.
  8. We are in Shawinigan now, yes its raining but the trails where great coming in tonight. I doubt it will have any effect at all on conditions.
  9. We just arrived back at our trucks in Shawinigan, last hour and a half in freezing rain. 1406 miles for the trip. Lotta laughs and great to put faces to names.Only breakdown was today a broken spring in the clutch, got it fixed in St Raymond. Heading home in the morning.
  10. we are in les escoumens tonight and hope to make the 5pm ferry tomorrow to matane. We wanted to make Forestville but heavy snow, wind and Phil 1's mishap set us back LOL Atleast a foot of new snow in Valins when we left this morning. With luck we will make it!
  11. Well it's 4am and the journey is about to begin!
  12. Sounds good, it sucks Richards place isn't open this year. We usually get up there around 2pm, park the trucks, load the bags on the sleds and take off. We only stay at the hotel on the return night. Whats good about launching from there, lac Edouard, St. Raymond and Du lac Repos are all 100 miles from there give or take a few. makes for a nice 1st day ride.
  13. Thanks, Do they charge to leave them there when your gone?
  14. Iceman, What do you think about leaving trucks at the Gouvenour in Shawinigan. It says locked corral for trucks. Richards place is not open this year.
  15. We have to find out if the 355 is open South of LaTuque. From Lac Edouard we could take the new trail to L'tape then up to Valins
  16. I guess the ladies are relentless! Still says you can't receive messages! You must be putting QR in overload!!
  17. Groomer! dam your a popular guy, your PM box must be full!
  18. I beleive you have Balbuzzard first then lac Faillion, both have fuel and lodging, not sure if balbuzzard is open.We went from lac fallion to Clova last year I beleive and it was suppose to be 100 miles so we didn't stop for fuel in Balbuzzard, didn't know about the major reroute, added another 40+ miles on to the trip, the Apex with us ran out at 133 my MachZ made it at 144 and the 600 sdi ran out 200 yards from the pump, thank goodness for the fuel caddy!
  19. Thanks iceman, We wanted to leave the trucks at Richards place next Tues. and head to the Winter Gathering. Any info would be great!
  20. Iceman, Do you know if you can get from Auberge Mekinack to Tq 73 to St. Raymond? Which would be the 360- 318 to 353 Any info would be great
  21. He's got to be bustin his buddies! And if not it's a 2 week lay up. I tore my acl 7 yrs ago and had surgery 2 days before X-mas. I was riding the 2nd week of Jan. with a brace, doctor didn't know! But winters short and all you doing is sitting on the sled anyway!
  22. Looking good Jean Guy, wait till the word is out about how nice the Gaspe' is. Your gonna have to hang a mattress on that blade to cushion it from all the sleds coming at ya like missles! LOL! Enjoy that bottle of wine EH!
  23. Thanks everyone for the best wishes!
  24. It's a good possibility, but probably just one night, don't have alot of time and we would be starting by St Raymond. A great deal on a Historic horse farm is in the picture right now and consuming all my time, hence the sled is still at the dealer.
  25. I know what you mean, I still haven't picked up the new sled yet, I'm still cutting my lawn LOL
