  2. calling for snow off and on over the next week or so , should be good soon with the cold as well no worries.......
  3. Doesn't anybody from the club check the swampy areas for ice thickness before a groomer drives over them ? I suppose it's hard though probably some areas they didnt even know there was water underneath. What a mess hopefully nobody was hurt
  4. Congratulations towing and thank you iceman for the contest it was fun to watch !
  5. Is it worth grooming or still not enough snow ?
  6. I hope your right I saw + 4 for Christmas eve up there on Weather Network......
  7. Calling for 6-10" + in Chibougamau through Tuesday and staying cold. Sort of encouraging.........
  8. RZR turbo or Can Am turbo will smoke it ! But if that is going to be the prize for winning the first grooming date I'll happily take it.
  9. Jan. 2 Looking at long range forecasts there is no arctic cold "coming down" in the next 3 weeks so its going to be hard for lakes and especially rivers to freeze.
  10. Not complicated at all you will see the signs for the 83 and there are several feeder trails that will link up with the 83 as well. Take a spin over to Lac Failion if you have time that is a great part of 83 to run, it will be 83 east and you will see signs for it as well. Also you could take a run up to Matagami, ( pretty much straight north of Amos, which by the way Amos has been awarded best tasting water in the world) then head east / South to Lebel Sur Quellevion then down to Senneterre etc... all great riding. If you could squeeze a 4th day in all would be possible
  11. That's awesome, looks like around 1.5 feet or how much was there? How far were you able to go in " rideable " snow ?
  12. What was the date when you went from Roberval to Chib? We attempted the same around March 16th I believe and about 30 miles from La Dore the trail had about 2 foot of water coming across it so we had to turn around. Then we headed towards Tadoussac and the trail was all brown about 3 miles from the ferry so we had to turn around again ! On a bright note though we had a snow storm the next day in Jonquiere and so it was good down to La Tuque.
  13. Very nice ! that looks like the king of touring sleds
  14. Good , we are supposed to be a country with borders after all. Not if your here legally, pretty simple concept if you ask me.
  15. X2 I use Under Armour 3.0 works outstanding. Also I bought the Ski Doo Absolute 0 Jacket last year and I can say without a doubt it is the warmest and most comfortable jacket I have owned and I have had Reima, Klim and Motorfist and The Doo Absolute Zero is it......... Also my favorite Bibs are the Motorfist Insulated Redline Bibs that have the Event technology , they are warmer and more comfortable than the Klim Keewenaw bibs I had. Favorite gloves are Klim Fusion which feature 2 different layers of insulation for warmer days or extreme cold days. And as others have said gauntlets and a real windshield are a must in Quebec.
  16. I have stayed there and it was "ok" but I agree if you have the time ride on BUT if you are budget oriented then check in at the Louvicourt
  17. Wow what a difference that will be !
  18. We were there years ago and the FCMQ pulled in, Blackie wandered over and pissed right on one of there sleds, it was priceless. 30 sleds parked there and he lifted his leg on an FCMQ sled.
  19. Thanks for sharing, he was always a great person and made for a friendly place to stop. Sad how time flies as we age......
  20. Nice, thanks for the info and good seeing you.
