    Yes Hank

big deal for Shawinigan. The sleds look great and ride reviews have been great too. When they can make one good for 300 miles on a single charge, it will be much more interesting.

i’ve been in contact with them and have offered to long term test any sled they need beat on. We shall see if I get one.

I am quite sure that when they realize your offer comes with a free iceman sticker, they will be onboard!😁

  2. On a motorcycle your bike goes where your eyes look, fixation on an on coming car ior other object on the side of the road is not uncommon with newer riders and the results usually aren’t pretty. I am pretty sure this happens with sleds too since I have several times had to take evasive action where a on coming sled starts coming at me and invades my side for no real apparent reason on straightaways or Curves where we can see each other.

Yeah probably need to go now or not go.  Was thinking the free weekend would be one to avoid as well.  Debatable what is going to happen in the next month.  I know it's takeout only if you aren't a local and the pools and hot tubs may be off limits to anyone who isn't local as well.  9:30 curfew in the Gaspe, but have to be out of the other regions while driving down there by 8 pm.  All reasonable and achievable, but will require some planning.

Just need to pay attention to Quebec news channels for any developments before you go.

WDYT about hauling 4 or 5 Yammis from Trois Rivieres to Maine?...

If you are a commercial truck company you can. Many of the snow birds who left Canada on a flight, ( legal but land crossing is not ) had a trucking company deliver their cars directly to Florida. In many cases they only flew to Plattsburgh and picked up their cars from their trucking company there. One company was regularly advertising their services for this loop hole on Face Book this winter.

Agreed.. I've been doing short rides in QC based out of my own camp,  but "with family or alone"   was the previous direction.   With all my burn downs in past years,  and no cell service,  I am gun shy on the alone part in remote areas.   Getting old I guess.

Looking to see if I am legally allowed to ride with a few friends, as 3 of us have camps very close to each other in QC.   Just trying to avoid hassle/risk of a stupid fine...  I have all the other obvious things as u mention above.

If you ride on separate machines,  stay 6 feet apart when stopped, wear a mask and sanitize your hands if you go inside to pay for gas or order take out food to eat on your sled your ok. We have been doing just that as are the other groups of sleds we come across. Skiing has also remained open in QC but you have to be members of the same household to share the chair lift otherwise single occupancy. Having said all that spring break is coming and though they have been discouraging travel between regions, there is now talk of setting up checkpoints to limit travel to sensitive regions.

Can't understand it.....seeing it more and more. Ran a farmstead around caddilac saturday afternoon.....droite fragille posted EVERYWHERE. Volunteers must have staked close to 5k both sides of the field. Lines, ropes, snow fence....can't imagine how long it took. Asshats still rode around it. Just sad 😞

Maybe we are seeing the entitled generation in action, what ever the cause /  causes we unfortunately will all pay with trail loss and labeled as irresponsible.

I cannot even imagine how you could even begin to explain how this happened, guy on the skidoo is almost off the trail on the wrong side, not like it is a skinny trail and it is even banked low and right, looks like he should find a new pass time before some one dies. This is the exact reason why I go north to get away from these guys....but i know it could still happen, amazing no one is hurt, very lucky.

Yup low traffic areas and weekdays.

Sorry for your buddy, Are we to assume the other guy going to pay for everything? I would hope so.

That’s what I love about Quebec no fault insurance, if his buddy is from QC and has private insurance. He makes a claim with his insurance providing the other guys info and his insurance settles with him and then goes after the other guy, non of this screwing around waiting for the other guy or his insurance to settle.

You keep right. I’ll keep right. If you’re pushing through the corners, slow down.   Thanks but no thanks for letting me know how many you have behind you. Keep both hands on the bars.  Too many close calls that take your breath away these days.

Simple common sense, yet it seems hard to fathom for some. You don’t drive using up the whole road in corners or drive down the middle of a 2 lane highway with your car,  yet they get out on a trail and they act like the whole width of the trail is theirs to use.
