  1. We are there for 3-4 days Feb 6 and again March 5th. Save me a seat Mike ! We can’t wait.

Lisa tries her new Riot 9000 this week in Rangeley. Also added EPS to my sled. Look forward to getting out there.

SnoDeo is a social deal for us with a little riding but enough to make sure everything works and my helmet still fits. Haha

  2. Hope to get my Tread upgrade set up in the next few weeks. I understand why so many are going with GPS systems on their sleds.

It is reassuring to know you can always locate where you are. Makes riding unknown areas and trails more common and even more fun.

Really at this point I would feel naked without it after years of having it. Handy even when on known trails just for locating upcoming known turns and checking miles to different optional gas or lunch stops.

  3. The ‘must see’ list for me includes many of the snowmobile club clubs trail side where they have a place to stop and take in the local feel. So sometimes food, sometimes drink, sometimes a fireplace or wood stove…every one different. It is what we love when you are riding the best trails and nature around in between them.

Some are really nice, some simple with folding tables and chairs…some couches, some have a bar with stools, some are along roads and the public drive there too…some remote…but all different. Many have great trail food, some local foods, sandwiches, soups, poutine, sweets, a cold beer or hot coffee. Generally surprisingly good. People running them are nice. Always a treat for us to experience (and support) them.

  4. So 3 1/2 days at Universel. Always great. One day was a warm day…some push/track spin on the first mountainish section of 35 out of Squatec but fun. Shady sections just  great.

The rest of our week was great as well. They are dumping snow at road crossings. That time of year…but a GREAT time to ride springtime conditions. Morning is best…afternoon still really good. Grooming was often and great. Can’t wait to go back next year ! Nothing compares.

So of about 600 miles of trails literally 95% was mint. So fun. Sled started popping “battery” fuses on the way back last ride thankfully. Towed from Chevaliar (2 arches) 62 miles down a flat 35 and flat 85 railbed. So fun to get back to RDL for a ride with friends !
