Left Oliphant on Sunday, 7am. New trailer with some modifications, short 1200km jaunt to the Universal in Rivere de Loup.
Woke up Monday morning to snow and wind. Checked radar said it should starting clearing around 11.  Leisurely breakfast and unload, hit the trails 10 after 11 ( 10 o'clock old time).  
Trails a little choppy to Rimouski, to be expected for a Monday morning after a warm Sunday. Had to follow a bunch of throttle jockeys for a while, you know those guys that have to have a hand full of throttle and a hand full of brake with the track spinning all the time. The guys that haven't figured out it all about the flow.
Stopped for lunch and gas in Rimouski, took a picture of the clubhouse for Snowmaster. Back on trails sun came out, trails were groomed all the way to Matane. 10 out of 10. Into town for gas and arrived at Riôtel around 6:00.
Tried to meet up with Mike the Mayor of RDL but our schedules didn't work out.

8 March Sunday
on we go through Godbout and to Baie Trinitie for gas. Trail better here. Now it’s been a few seasons since I been this way but surely the next stretch to Port Cartier has been re-routed a bit as it seems a lot less powerline sections to me. Anyway we burn along and into Port Cartier with 315 miles its 6:15 pm. Feels like I rode today for sure. Big first day. Had food delivered to us here at hotel. Eastbound tomorrow we shall see where we end up.

i still can’t figure out why someone would take a toy snowmobile deep into the bush with them and leave it on top of an outhouse 

Was passing by the 345/M20 junction and saw that someone put a decoration on the shitter. Looks like one of those “radio controlled “ ones from years ago. Wonder how long it will be there.

It’s been a great trip. Sadly were heading back home today and I am being told to get ready. 

Day 6
Last day here, time to head back to the trucks in Victoriaville. Up early for a 7:15 departure. 2” of new snow overnight. Off we go, within 10 miles of cabano snow gets deeper now close to a foot breaking trail on the rail bed. Awesome an unexpected  powder day! Into the Tourville clubhouse for a late breakfast. Fresh snow levels drop as we head west from there. Little traffic and blue skies. Closer we get to to victoriaville obvious they got only rain. Trails still good and groomed last night. Into the hotel Le Victorian at 3:15 with 265 miles for the day. This area will be done shortly if no new snow. Awesome 1425 mile ride with a great bunch of guys! Looks to be my last ride this year but you never know! Great seeing groomer and Linda sled girl and Joel in Amqui. Mr and mrs gt rider, Mike rider and farmerold in RDL. Only issues where a blown belt and starter solenoid. Wrapping a rope around the clutch gets old! Hope you All  enjoyed following along!

The local is short. 35 is smooth with fluff on top. We make haste.

Day3
Today was one of the days you remember. Blue skies with the most scenic part of the gaspe ahead! Tq5 freshly groomed! Perfect all the way to Mt St Pierre. Hit all the overlooks, traffic low, never gets old! After Mt St Pierre tq 5 is pretty spanked all the way to the 597 to murdochville which is also in need of some tlc. Lunch at the copper. Thought was new Richmond but rooms all booked. Deceide on easy day into la cache on the orange trail which could also use some tlc for the night. 188 miles
 




 




 

We stop for gas and the hour was getting late. We change plans and double back on 571 and take 544.

With all the bad luck some of us are having this year I think somebody put a curse on us. 

Arrived at the Le Victorian in Victoriaville Friday afternoon. Same crew as a few weeks ago minus Momo. Figured we would try South of the Fluve for a change. Haven’t started this far west before and with the new snow we’d give it a whirl. Nice hotel, had the place to ourselves.  Plan today was RDL. Fresh groomed tq 35 to Tourville for lunch. Ridiculous amount of sleds on the trails. Passed more sleds by lunch then the entire 1700 mile loop we did a few weeks ago.  Relais in Tourville packed even at 1:30 took an hour and half to get outa there. From there to RDL  combination of blues, greens and orange trails all showing wear from the heavy traffic. At the universal in RDL for the night and this place is packed! I do believe I’m parked next to mike riders sled out back. 254 miles for the day. Eastbound in the morning.

Had a crazy powder day.....Left Faillon a little after 9 a.m. and pulled into Parent at 4 pm with a long lunch break in Clova
thanks to the 7 Québécois who broke trail for us and the two groomers we passed today. Little hairy from Faillon to Clova but then just darn fun all the way into Parent. Still snowing good here. We stopped for a half hour or so and had a glass of water and a chat with the caretaker at Balbuzzard.

Decision is made. We are protesting.
we are going Clova to set up Barricade on train tracks. Gonna park 850 BCX on tracks. Who wants to join our blockade?
