Great news. Another fine day in QC. I remember being at the Rougemont (??) several times but never stayed there. Was there not a gas station (Artic Cat) something right next to the parking lot ? I have fond memories of a lot of these places from years gone by but will most likely never see them again. I've turned into a recluse "bush trail" rider. Wont find me anywhere near Quebec City, St Raymond, Roberval, Valdor etc...

If I'm not "in the bush" I'm just not happy. I go to Quebec to get away from it all....and I mean "away from it all". Now this certainly has it's disadvantages but for me it works. Most of the time. And with places like "Camp de Base" in Casey, Haltaparche, Andre's camp, etc... and the new "technology" at all of them I feel much safer in my journeys. Told the wife the other night....."no more solo shit" for me........"I'm done" with that....got lucky all those years and too old to chance it anymore.

So happy for EVERYONE that monday brings an ease to these restrictions and everyone can eat inside again. Never knew a club sandwich could literally freeze solid in under two minutes outside. LOL

yes right next door is a articat and yamaha dealer.  good memory.

MONTREAL -- Quebec will allow small gatherings and restaurants can open at half capacity as of Monday as COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease.

Premier Francois Legault said Tuesday that the new loosening of measures still comes with some restrictions: a maximum of four people or two bubbles will be permitted to dine together, so long as they have proof of vaccination.

two bubbles?  the groups I ride with are mostly 6-8 people.

I wasn't able to cross the border last year to experience any of these restrictions. What do folks do for lunch stops in this situation while saddlebagging? Get a sandwich from the hotel in the am or take out from a restaurant in town or relais?  Eat out on the sleds in the parking lot since can't eat in dining rooms?  What about when it's -20 outside, is eating outside really the only option?

we had lunch in La Tuque at a gas station they let us eat sandwiches inside off to the side and no one complained to us.  I found it odd that we could not go into a McDonald's and order for takeout.  with a trailer in tow it's not easy to go threw a drive through.

  6. well across the border yesterday no problem.   at roqumont getting ready for our first burn of the year up to relays 22.  it's-8 right now plenty of snow to ride.  last night for dinner we had menus in the room and called down with our order and they brought it to the room.  was actually pretty quick and easy.  we are a group of six and they did not have a problem with us being in one room hanging out.  but not allowed to do it in the hotel area.
