  1. Hey Mike ,try adjusting your rear transfer blocks to a higher number for the loose snow conditions if you haven’t already tried that ,it makes a huge difference. And for the new ski ,it looks like the ski that’s on my Lynx rave re and I can’t believe how well this ski performs in all conditions.

  2. Late February is probably a good choice as winters are getting shorter.I was un gaspe 3 times last winter .One trip was first of March and conditions were like end of March .Some of the south shore was very scratchy and lots of dirt around road crossing.Plus all parking lots were melted off everywhere.I went the end of March and stayed on interior and Northern trails and trails were like first of March most years .Every season is different but it’s changing for sure .My 2 cents,go when ever you can .

  3. Wife and I stayed there 4 years ago,our cabin had 1 bedroom, double bed ,there was a small couch ,can’t remember a Murphy bed .If you plan on Thursday thru Saturday you better book months in advance. And certain nights the restaurant and bar close early. When you book they take a 50% non refundable deposit,or they did then anyway.Apperently there was a Murphy bed in the cabin ,wife tells me .

  4. Was around Gaspie Bay over the last few days doing summer tourists things and went through 299 road and stopped at LaCache and there is a large 2 storey addition on back of the building and a large one storey off of one side where the old accommodations used to be,it’s attached to main building .It’s just framed and boarded in .Sorry but no pics.Hopefully they’ll have new space ready for up coming winter. There’s also a new distillery in cap chat right beside the petro can .Lots of quality gins .

  5. Stayed here on Saturday night ,2nd and last stay at this Hotel .Restaurant is basically closed unless you go with package which only gave 2 choices and nothing we wanted so we said we’d eat at old church which is a great place to eat .Guy at front counter at Hotel when we checked in was owner and very rude and got worse when we decided not to get full package and then they don’t even offer breakfast. He said he has no staff and I see why if he’s like this with customers,I can only imagine what he is like to work for .The old church had at least 10 on staff that night and it was packed .I don’t think he is handling the new competition in town very well .Maybe he should of sold out as he had a monopoly in the town for decades.I hope ours had better experience. My wife was quite upset with how we were treated And the Hotel Copper will not be recommended by us .
