I was thinking the same thing....people told me those sleds were heavy!
-
I believe things are going to be booked ahead this year. Reservations a must. Hoping next winter LaCache will have cabins to rent.
-
The unattended pumps were certianly a great bonus after the gas station closed. La Martre gas is a strategic location on the north shore. The previous pumps did have challenges to understand directions (in french) but we never left without gas. I enjoyed talking to the old guy across the road that used to own the gas station, he was a sledder.

The Extreme with the Turbo R should be an incredible sled, endless power. I would like to try one some day, I think it would make the ultimate touring sled.

You are correct some trails are showing acceptable. Do not be surprised if there aren't a bunch colored at once by the end of the weekend. I have seen in the past clubs will groom a couple times to get a good base before showing they were out. That gives the early snow time to set up before heavy traffic starts.

The monsters I ride with just laugh, and take pictures.

Awesome trip, great pictures thank you for sharing. Is that the snow monster that grabs your ski and pulls you off the trail into a fir thicket in deep snow?? He looks familiar! LOL
-
Thanks to all on both sides of the table that helped make this happen.

That is the news we have all been waiting for! Thanks Pipeman

We are tentatively planning a loop through there too. A nice trip for us, ride from Pointe a la Croix to Quebec City, up through Mt Valin then cross at Baie Comeau to Matane and back to the truck. Easy loop.

Never thought they would find those sleds.

Looks like an awesome sunny day. Jealous.

The local Club made an agreement with the FN group mid season last year and allowed passage, apparently they are discussing a similar thing for this season. Hopefully the shuttle will not be necessary.
-
First week is prime time book early. Wheels on the skis are a bonus for parking lots that time of the season.
-
Trailer could be sitting in plain view with a black tarp pulled over it and no one would think twice.
-
A right of passage for a true QuebecRider to have a picture with their sled in the mouth of the cave.
-
Awesome! My buddies don't like that rail line section but I do. Alway groomed nice and very little traffic.
-
The entire way if possible. You could consider a two day loop of the lake. Leave the Delta, south around the bottom of the lake then up around to the 373. Drop down to the cave and find a place to stay. Next day back to the 373 to Onatchiway and back to the Delta.
-
Run the 373, not sure how many miles it would be for the day.
-
I would bet the truck was disconnected quickly after the theft and the trailer is in a building or tarped. Quite a hiest! Next season parts. I feel bad for the people who snow checked those sleds.
-
Very sharp looking sled.

That is an awesome site. Has live pictures of the Chappel.

I bet a unit like that would be close to $500K CAN. Bought my permit last night.....not enough to fill the fuel tank once LOL
