Today was east over to Tois Pistoles and then the 518 to the Rimouski club house. The 518 is a most delightful loop, highly recommend it. Add it to the Isle Verte loop, which just got groomed, makes for a really nice 85 mile stretch.  There is gas just on 518 just before the Rimouski Club house on 5. We had lunch at the St. Cyp Restaurant in St. Cypien, and did the green trails on both sides of 85.  These green trails are always great. Short stretch of 85 not so great.
Rode with FarmerOld,,  SkiDoo420 and his son 420 II.  His son is driving a Cat SnoPro 500, a sled I have always wanted as a second sled!
Stopped at a check point by official FCMQ people. They apparently liked the SnoPro 500 as much as I so.
The forecast has been up and down as far as the warm up this coming week. It is now down to one day of warm and the rest at 32F or below. Looking hopeful.

As we approach Matane it is obvious that the warm weather is taking a toll on the trails. This storm should fix things up. We can see it coming in the distance. It’s starting to get windy.

Mike,  we should be there Monday,  maybe stay a day or two,  so we should run into you at the Universal. 

So I have Ben drop me off in the middle of this wide long straight away that you could see for a mile in each direction and I thank him and tell him my buddy will be back on his sled to pick me up any second. So....I’m standing there for like 5 minutes (seems like a long time)....and I finally see headlights coming. 
Good ....here he comes I hear a sled...it’s not him .....but.....a lone Ontario dude. He stops....pullls up the visor and says you o.k man.....and I instantly decided to f&@ck with him. “ I literally scream.....”I LOST MY SNOWMOBILE “....have you seen it??
the look on his face was priceless.....then I said I was in that groomer you just passed and here comes my buddy André. We all hung for a half hour, became asshole buddies and exchanged funny stories and each others contact info

Last year I had the pleasure to ride a day with Jim and Gemma,  yes he stops to take the photos!

After lunch we are heading to the shell station in Grande-Rivière. When we get back to TQ5 it clears up again. We go a few miles and back to fog. We gas up and head for Murdochville. When we reach 597 it clears up. The trail is in nice shape. We get up around the orange trail and pass the groomer. It’s a nice ride into the Copper hotel.

That's why they call you the mayor of RDL!

Hi Jim & Gemma,  hopefully no big storm , who knows maybe we will meet again? 
We are leaving Montmagny next Sunday with no plans yet (did you say late planner?) , we will be with another "newbie" couple so there wont be no big mileage days!
Enjoy and safe travels.   

Well, I arrived today and it feels so good to be back, hopefully for a couple weeks. Will be nice to see many of you who mentioned you would be passing through.
I got a room in the new section, way out back and sort of around the corner. Should see my white Ram by the door and my wh & blk Renegade.
After having phone grief all winter,  I now have a hi tech $80 LG 4 flip top that actually seems to work in Quebec.

We are sorry to see that your sports car went Kaput. Last year you came to our rescue in it. Its not your bad luck its ours.
I think we almost lost you at the end of the last machine. It was giving you a lot of trouble.
When you have to make long runs like yours a high quality machine should be a priority. I hope they recognize that now!
We want to thank you for all the years of hard work making the white carpet we enjoyed. The club will surely miss having a man with your great skill.

I'm seeking for information and will comeback if I find something trusty about why/when...

I have started hand signaling while driving my car and truck now. Feels safer. Kinda cold with window down but i wear one glove on left hand. So far so good. 

They were being funny like the old guys on the Muppets 
 

Wife and I will be in Mont laurier this Friday,  Saturday and Sunday,  last minute trip,  I know it will be the weekend,  but it should be ok,  I am sure it is better than being at work!!
