I am not sure about a trail to Expe. We drove right there and stayed the night. Then the next morning we followed the owner up the road to a gated parking area. We left from there for a 4 day saddlebag trip. When we returned there was a phone in a building and called them up and they came and opened the gate. :bc:

I have buddies on there way there tonight as I type. I was suppose to go with but it wasn't in the cards. One of my favorite places to stay. Yes you can take the dotted trail. Last time we were at Ravage the guide was in there. Turns out we stayed at his place the night before and my buddies there now stayed at his place last night. Great report Towing as always. I look forward to coming to work every monday and reading your post. I have a few buddies right now riding the south side of the Saint Lawerence. I am waiting for a trial report. Happy New Year to you and Krikri. Hopefully this year we may meet on the trail again.

Alain - thank you for your reports this winter. I always look forward to reading them. It was a pleasure finally meeting you and Krikir a few weeks ago. I hope to make more then one trip up next season. As people say "life gets in the way." Have a wonderful off season. Bob

Allen - It was great to meet you finally at the sugar shack. We continued our route around the park and back to Sacaomie for an amazing dinner and cocktails. Once again it was a pleasure meeting you. I see several pictures of yours I recognize. We did end up going all the way up to River Matawin and around on the 360. Bob

Well last night at about 10PM we decided to bail. My 6 buddies that are up there right now are getting trailered to the snow and back to the trucks. They will make there decision once they reach them and decided to go north on 3 if at all passable. I will report back once I hear from them.

I was suppose to meet up with these guys today but we bailed because of the trail conditions. I guess they groomed last night south on 83 out of Ravage. He was not sure about the conditions between Beaupre and the Gorges area though. Yes we usually make advance reservations. There number is 418-665-4400. If you can talk with Noel. He is a great guy and speaks wonderful english.

Thanks for the report but not what I wanted to hear. I am headed up at 3am tomorrow morning. Hope to be droping new Quebec City and riding up. Hopefully they get a few inches between now and then.

Yes Michele and his son. He took us for rides in his Snow Scoot a few times. We used to stay in his cabins up on the mountain. Used to be a great place to start from.

We found this place back in 99. First place we ever parked at. Owner back then was Michele (sp)and his son. Great guy and after we visited he went and bought a book to learn english. Loved it back then and stayed many times in the cabins in the woods. Went back a few several years aga and it just was not the same. I heard though he was building a new lodge / hunting camps back in the woods. Any truth to this iceman?

You can get gas in Clarmont before entering the park then again at Saint Felix De Otis (yellow trail)

Shane we did a trip last week and started from this place just off trail 369. You can't start from here but just 5 minutes up the road is secure parking. Gite Aventure I have also stayed at the Quebec Inn many times and it is a great place to stay.

We are headed out of Quebec area to Ravage then on to Mt. Valin and around 93 to the ferry and back. Not many high miles days on this trip. I think the most in one day will be 200 miles. More drinking fine red wine at night on this trip with a few laughs with some good friends. I would like to take the wifey on a nice 3 day trip this year if money and time permits. Wishful thinking but hope to make it work. Might have to make it west if we go.

Love that run from Relais 22 to Roberval. Just hate going from La Tuque to 22. One of these days I will get to the western part of Quebec. Ride safe and keep the rubber side down.
