smclelan
What do you after buying a new side by side?? Go for a ride in the Gaspesie of course. I have never ridden the ATV trails in the Gaspe before and figured it could be as good as snowmobiling. The Girlfriend and I decided to do a quick 4 day tour just to judge travel times and distances before planning a bigger trip. We started in Amqui and rode to Grande Nature the first night. We soon discovered it is easy to cover ground and travel speeds were faster then I expected. The second night we rode to Mont Louis and stayed at L'Marre, an excellent spot with and outside patio bar with a view of the St Lawrence. Third night back to Grande Nature, then back to the truck. Here are a few pictures of our adventure, many will look familiar. Likely only 1/3 of the trip was on sled trails, the rest all new country. Some of the pictures did not load right, but you get the jist of it. I don't think we would have been able to make the trip 2 weeks sooner, would have been too much snow. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_06/Resized_20230609_140626.jpeg.thumb.jpg.046bfa01bd03bb5c5dabc63a570f857c.jpg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_06/Resized_20230609_140306.jpeg.e7e16c35ccf7ade7345e309d90d57428.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_06/Resized_20230611_093202.thumb.jpeg.2cb4e868243eb6618b05d11291c65b48.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_06/Resized_20230611_120528.thumb.jpeg.e9163f9b5dee67ce37543b04787a9d8a.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_06/Resized_20230609_135715.thumb.jpeg.15cb6921441edcd2f85f93882fed03c5.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_06/20230609_130857.thumb.jpg.684416dd2cd69ccc1eec9f676b18758c.jpg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_06/20230609_103257.jpg.94dcf63ce3d4774281e7e3d1a9337ec2.jpg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_06/20230608_141311.thumb.jpg.91cbffe2403d08063224ebbd1b97b884.jpg PISTON LAKE CRUISER, zeusand, P Hardy and 7 others 8

smclelan
Did anyone notice on the sideways picture of Relais St Paulin that there is broken asphalt under the bike? The trail in the front of the Relais and a couple hundred meters down the 595 were once paved too! neksledr
Great pics Steven, and thanks for post. For several years now we have been hoping to take a ride around gaspe on our side by sides, but haven't made it yet! Did you have any trail issues at all, or was it pretty easy to find trails? We definitely want to put a trip together soon! We are running the same CanAm machines, awesome rides! Thanks, Terry MrGutz

You have to understand right from the start Quebec or at least the Gaspe have a 64" bike width limit. We scraped the fender flares a couple times. Some bridges are very tight and in places they have cement blocks at the width limit. As for riding, the trails are excellent, signage was good, I did have Trax Maps on my Garmin as well. Saw a lot of different country as the trails were different 2/3 of the trip. I would not hesitate coming if you are thinking about it. Quebec has a high quality product for ATV's same as they do snowmobiles. PM if you need more details Terry, I will help in any way I can.
