Maniwaki-Val d’Or is +- 255 miles. We’ve done it once.We rode Senneterre-Maniwaki 2 years ago in one day.

Gas is available at the classic restaurant in Lytton. You can`t miss it trail goes thru the parking lot. Then you have gas at Le domaine in Laverendrye Park.

Lytton- Le domaine is +- 75 kms.

There is gas past le domaine at http://outfitterlaverendrye.com/. They are located +- 8 miles off TQ 63.

Le Domaine- Laverendrye outfitter is +- 115 kms

Then you have gas at Kitsisakik indian Reserve on trail 386. If I recall correctly there is +- 55 miles between Kitsisakik and 386/TQ 63 intersection.

Longest stretch without gas is +- 115 miles between Kitsisakik and Le Domaine if you want to skip going to Laverendrye outfitter. We’ve done it twice without any problem.

Btw we always stayed at http://www.forestel.ca/www/?lang=e in Val d’Or.

Hey Mid Range. I love the Forestel in Val d'Or. Great rooms & a fantastic restaurant!

I'm glad to see they spent 6 millions on refurbishing...when we stayed there in february 2010 the ''Jack of all trades'' had to put caulking around the window. You could felt the wind from the north thru the windows.I should have mentioned above, we stayed once at the Continental. They have improved accessibility to get there cause back then it was pain in the ass to get there.

if anyone has any info going threw rapides-des-Joachims would be great to thanks

Last time i went through there was in '08, 180klms from Joncas to rapides des Joachins, Joncas to Val D'Or about 160klms. Joncas was open then, now it's burned down so not sure if there is gas there any more.

Last time we rode thru there after the fire (two years ago) they were selling gas and operating a "cafeteria" out of one on the larger "chalets" that was near the main lodge which had burned down. At that time there was also gas at another smaller outfitter about 20 miles away (west of Joncas).

It's hit or miss on the trail from the Rapides des Joachims to TQ 63. In the past 5 years it has not been "opened" as often as it has been. My thoughts are the same as Trailblazer's......My log showed 105 miles the last time we ran it.

Timbo.....Joncas is no longer opened during winter time SEPAQ is operating it from spring to fall (fishing/hunting)

I just got my trail map for Abitabi Region and it shows this season the trail from Rapide de Joachims does not go to Joncas and in fact it goes into La Vereyndre which would make for a shorter trip to Val D'Or. Also there is a option from Rapides des Joachims, there is a trail to Temiscamaigne, was open last year and the year i was there '08, in '08 there was a stretch of 240k with no gas and last season it showed on the map a gas stop in between but not so sure this year, it's not on the map at all.

Trailblazer......it looks like RDJ-Temiscamingue won't be opened this season

I will put upon my windshield QR sticker Saguenay Bill gave me last year at the Delta Saguenay (formerly known as the HI).That will help :drinks:

Like the new ride Mid Range! What size is it? It was hard for me to give up Doo but had to try the Cat turbo.

Renegade X 600......will pick it up next weekend.

Doo for a Cat????? are you off your meds? LOL

If Doo had a turbo on the 1200 I would have bought it but after owning two 1200's and an 800 e-tec there was nothing new in the Doo camp to excite me. I have a TD 4 stage set-up on my Cat and believe me that excites ME!

Just tease'n ya, i had 3 cats myself before owning a Yammy. Yammys rear exiting exhaust Vroom Vroom and non stop thrust excites me, just image with a turbo or supercharger attached OMG.

Oh I know I am not brand loyal so to speak I buy what ever interests me. I have been hearing Yamaha may have something new late this season, hopefully a supercharged Apex but I fear they would charge 17 grand for it.
