Now to day 4 Amqui to RDL.
ill make it a bit shorter. Selectotel stayed in the far building. Rooms okay. Seems to be getting later on the departures as we didn’t leave till 1030 today. Took the 587 out of Amqui to the 5 west to 35. Gas and snacks in St Irene then hit the 35. Real nice trail, both groomed and twists and views.
oh we did stop at the lookout to see the tree mummies. Saw lots of sleds in and around this area but still not busy just way more than we did all trip.
Then turned on the 85 rail bed type trail to head into RDL. Today we got in before dark first time this trip - trails were fast. 1265 kms total.
Was 10 degrees C warmer and sun out the last two days makes it easier for pictures, trail snacks and in general.
I didn’t keep track very well but on the 35 there were three sections of logging where the trail was plowed down. Rideable but slippery. The worst section was 6 kms and the other two were much less. Nothing to worry about but notable.
Left RDL at 630 am this morning for Ontario.
