  1. Why do I not believe that there isn't this insurance issue involved with the clubs. I'm sure over the summer there was several meeting by club personnel on just how to protect the club and possibly the officers of the club. There has been a presedent set by a judge that is going to effect all clubs from now on. Maybe the clubs new rules if any  are just taking longer to set up than expected.  I think this is putting club officials in a very difficult place. I believe they are all just trying to get everything done properly. These are just my thoughts.  If you can get millions for driving off a trail just think what you could get for hitting a big snow bank in the middle of a snow storm.

  2. You should go for the ride on 5 around the north shore.  Always amazing to look out on the St. Lawrence River and see 600 foot plus ships that are out so far they look like toy boats. One year there was so much ice all the ships had ice breakers leading the way.  Also staying at a hotel near the water and see nothing but ice when you go to bed and wake up to blue water. Whatever you decide have a good time and be safe.

  3. I would like to have the reason for a  possible closure or a closure be let known in detail . Maybe us riders are doing something and not knowing it. As in if one rider cuts a corner that they shouldn't  it's a fact others will follow and now there's a problem.  Land owners don't just say no more passage,  I would think they would complain to someone.  With the internet it seems that it wouldn't be that hard to notify the Quebec Riders that there's problem brewing.  Really a small group but we all know people that ride in Quebec and who don't read this site.  I think we, as in Quebec Riders,  atleast should offer some ideas to help fixing this problem.

These are mine and only my thoughts about this problem. Be safe all.

With just under 23,000 miles on a 900 ACE Blizzard, I decided to get a 2024 renegade adrenaline enduro with a 900 ACE, pilot 5.8 skies (not the TS skies), and KYB front shocks. Love the 10.25 touch screen. Lots of learning time to keep me occupied until snow time.

I feel like 345 has been re-routed a few times over the last few years? On the map, this season, it looks to be ever further from Kanawata?

My question, however, I remember pre-covid coming from Lac-St Jean to Kanawata. I thought when we first got onto 345 heading South there was a airstrip that the trail went down. It was wide and straight. When we took 345 North this past Winter I don't remember riding that air strip? Was that re-routed too?

I understand the airstrip at Casey but on the map it looks like two locations for Katawata. Did they expand to another outpost away from the lake. Little confused.  Lol

  6. Its amazing how much money is spent on the trail system in Quebec to me. But my concern is the trails that are being or talking about being closed due to riders misuse of land owners property.  I believe the riders doing this are the younger generation who think the trail system will always be there. Just look at this year.  A section of 10 miles can cut off getting to the rest of your trip.

I do believe that a lot aren't aware of the possibility of more trails will be closed and they may be the cause. It just happened that last night I purchased our trail permits and I think seeing how easy it is to purchase the permit that why couldn't a addendum be added to the invoice of the purchase a letter letting people know of their misuse of trails and disrespect to landowners they may be the cause of closures of trails.

I think the letter should be blunt and be strong enough that people will think before they destroy the trails and disrespect the land owners.

These our my thoughts and feel something must be done.

  7. This a great feature to put on the trail map. I really hadn't noticed it before.  I live on a island in the St. Lawrence River and a few year ago I received a call from a state trooper who I have known since he was a young boy playing hockey.  Anyway he ask if I knew of a place that a medical rescue helicopter could land for rescue purpose.  I happen to have a small field that is also close to the public dock that we discussed looking at. So I went out and stood in the field and a few minutes later this NEW YORK STATE  helicopter came and landed then took off . I spoke to him later and they took the GPS numbers and that area is set for other organizations to find for other emergencies.  I  think this could work on the trail system in Quebec. By the way my property has not been used but I am contacted every year for permission to be used.

Unfortunately barbarians holding a medieval grudge over who's religion is best.

The only way it ends is when none of them exist to remember they hate you for existing!!  Make the place a sheet of glass

The barbarians are bullies of the religion and the good people of the religion fear them. The problem I see is there are bullies in our country of this religion and they will start the same here. Lucky for some of us is these people are in large communities where they can hide their true feelings.  Sooner or later they will show them selfs because they will have the money from the true terrorist in the Middle East to supply their needs.  With our new laws of letting the bad people go I think we are in trouble. Only my opinion.
