We are proud and pleased to announce that a Right of Passage Agreement has been agreed with the Pessamit Innus Council for this winter. A limit of 50km/h like last year will be applied on the boundaries of the Innus territory.
We would like to thank the Council of Innus de Pessamit, André Thériault our regional administrator Côte-Nord as well as the prefect of the MRC M. Marcel Furlong

RWM NH reacted to Noreaster in Must See Destinations?
I rode Quebec a number of years ago, but we never stopped to look at anything, we just rode. My wife likes to plan around scenery, etc.
I am not opposed to taking off anywhere. I had the Roquemont or La Pocatiere as potential launch sites.

RWM NH reacted to iceman in TQ25 Levis
The Plains Snowmobile Club has written...
Following a loss of right-of-way, your club has been unable to find a solution for the 2023-2024 season.
The trail (TQ 25) to the snowmobile parking lot in the city of Lévis next to the snow dump on route Lagueux will be inaccessible...
The club remains hopeful for the 2024-2025 season.
the reason
To answer your questions, the quarry had nothing to do with the loss of the right of way, but rather a downstream landowner who withdrew his right of way after 30 years of collaboration following snowmobilers who did not respect the trail and reprimanded the landowner for walking on the trail. On their land.
The landowner had enough of it...
We thanked him for his 30 years in spite of his decision.

Snowmobile on the Monts-Valins: the parties come to an agreement for 2023 - 2024
"Members of the federation of the clubs de motoigistes du Québec (FCMQ), who have a right of access for the 2024 season, will be able to ride on the marked and federated trails of the Zec Martin-Valin with their snowmobile without registering and without charging an additional passage cost." "

I never complain about the cost of Quebec permit. The significant grooming capacity and constant investment in infrastructure like this projects makes us all fortunate to have these trails.

RWM NH reacted to 800R MXZ X in 3 Old Guys ride to Alaska
What an epic adventure, how does one plan this? Looks like they are riding a lot of frozen water ways. Curious on how they planned for this trip.

RWM NH reacted to markusvt in Over Laying inReach Map Routes onto FCMQ Map
No way to look at it on the FCMQ map, you can download as a .gpx file, and view any other way you want. Basecamp, GPX viewer and a zillion others. The tracks off your GPS are WAY more useful as they have lots more data points.

RWM NH reacted to Northbound in Northbound's 2023 season
Hi people, I decided to post some details and pics from our last ride this season. Trail conditions are a mute point this late, but there may be some new information that someone could use planning next year's trip. Besides no one at home cares about our snowmobile pics.😞 Don't expect to Towing's quality reports, but I'll do my best. First of all I retired Jan 2020 so we spent that winter in PQ, as well as in 2022. Good winters, not much posting from me.

RWM NH reacted to neksledr in Averill Lake VT to LaPatrie Quebec
Being a Saturday morning in northeast VT we had no intentions of staying stateside and dealing with the massacre of sleds we knew would be present, we loaded up and headed for the border and customs crossing in Beecher Falls. A very late 11am start and 15 miles later we proceeded through customs with no issues. The 523 had been groomed a few days prior, but 3" of fresh snow and zero tracks awaited us. Snow level not high, but no riders keeps these trails in perfect condition. Good cruising over the hill to Christmas tree farm in Hereford, we then take a right onto orange trail headed northeast towards border cut trail. Absolutely incredible this section, super fast and smooth. Have to slow down on up and down and twisty section of border cut, but still good going. Groomer has a hard time smoothing this 5 mile or so section. After passing relais south of Bellefeuille, we are first tracking on fresh groomed up to the 525, then an easy run into little hamlet of LaPatrie. Nice lunch at Resto-Bar LaPatrie, gas up across street and point sleds in reverse direction for run back to camp. For ride back we stay on 525 west until we meet back up with the 523 just north of Sawyerville. This part is a great blend of farmland and wood roads that is super smooth and fast, and almost no traffic with the exception of lots of deer. Gotta keep an eye out for them in this area. The 523 south back to Hereford is a smooth ride as well, and we end up back through customs and back at camp in Averill with 150 really great miles. This area never ceases to amaze me with great trails and very rare meetings of other riders. Not many pics, but a really nice short day's run.
