Agree 100%, and I think its 40$ Canadian, which works out to about 28 US now. A bargin.

Right on Phil.   It’s an amazing bargain for $40 to keep their coverages in addition to our USA coverages.   Walk away & let the insurance companies litigate & subrogate on our behalf.  A no brainer indeed.

I question how many riders have the required $500,000 limit. I've owned an insurance agency for 34 years and most people want minimum limits, this could prove costly if you check the block verifying that you have required coverage.
Personally for the 40some odd dollars I will keep the coverage that comes with the pass. Don't forget you are also buying legal defense when you buy a policy of insurance, how far does 40 bucks get you in an attorneys office?

If you need their services and you haven't signed up with them, the cost is $7,500 per hour, per Dannydoo.   Makes the $50 seem very small.

I'm signing up! My brothers have never crashed a helicopter, but there is always a first time!
I believe GEO source also offers similar insurances too. I'll see if I can find the link. They will get you back home too. USA, GB, etc...

Brilliant idea,  we just joined up , $70 for the 2 of us for 30 days in February including tax.  God willing we won't use it, as it's one helicopter we don't want to ride in.

Pretty Tough to find a bad trail in Quebec.
Thats the beauty of it and it keeps you coming back.  Typically during the week it’s unlikely to get shut out with lodging in any town.
Its not worth going crazy planning and sticking to a firm itinerary as weather on a 10 day loop can always force you to modify your plan.
its worth downloading the local maps to iBooks.

#1) As you probably already know, always remember to bring two things: Flexibility & your sense of humor (rental Sat phone optional www.spdirect.com)
#2) Regardless of any general routes that you plan, check the grooming reports before going out...
    Go to: http://fcmq.viaexplora.com/carte-motoneige/index.html
Click "Services" in the upper right corner
Click “Delai de serfacage” (and whatever other "Attraits" you want to see)
Click "Fermer" to close the drop down box
If you switch the view from Carte (map) to Satellite, it's easier to see the Whites (those haven’t been done 3+ days)
THEN HEAD FOR THE GREENS & YELLOWS!!

Clean machine, all Quebec mileage, maintained by a Quebec dealer too. Buy it.

    Next Update!
I should not seem so positive... so with the M20 in the chassis on 128 Rails I thought it was ready to go..... It would not compress so I contacted FAST. After several back and forth with Brian we determined that the rails are Polaris and Not FAST ones. You may say wwhhaatt? I thought Polaris used the M-10? Polaris Licensed the 121 "Directly" from FAST, the 127\128 was created using that license and is not supported by FAST because they changed the geometry. The rails if you put them on the ground and give them a quick once over they look like the are identical..... BUT the suspension arm connections to the rails are about 1 inch closer together on the longer 127/128 rails. I could have made them work but I feel it would have alter the coupling too much for a consistent ride. I found that Tracks USA makes billet 4 inch extensions for M10 Suspensions!! But the Polaris Version.... so like EVERYTHING else on the sled it will be custom.
Next! Found a place to fill the NOS tank! Yaa! They said it needs to be tested, BOOO! 3 different places to try and get it Certified and last place said they can certify it! So it failed!
Fudgicles!!! Not just a tasty treat.
I guess the carbon fiber tanks are so thin that ANY scuff or abrasion will fail it.
New one is aluminum, because to replace the fiber one is 600.ish.
But a custom AC\DC converter came in, the USB connector came in, the crank is back form the Crank Shop and I'm starting the engine assembly!
We took delivery of a new trailer!! And yes there is a problem.... Not with the trailer but the Mass Registry.

It actually has helped a bit.
The Front Suspension geometry has been an issue (Never designed for Huge Travel), I believe with the warm weekend I was able to set it as close to perfect as I can get without redesigning the front clip.
The Crank is still at the Crank Shop, NOS Bottle is being re-certified, BUT the M-20 is acting like it's jammed I believe it's the coupler blocks.
    Things are moving along.
I'll post a few more pics later.

It was nice to pass through a few snow squals on the way to work this morning. Supposed to go down to 12 degrees tonight. I hope this is a sign of a good season.
