PISTON LAKE CRUISER
If you have access to Facebook and haven't already, search for the above title for a very interesting read. These 3 retirement aged guys are riding new Arctic cats from Park Rapids, Minnesota to Fairbanks, Alaska. There are F/B posts for each day which detail what has happened and how far they got. Yesterday was day 26 and they are at Fort McPherson which is in the Northwest Territories of Canada. I think you are correct however they have had a couple of times when they had to backtrack so their odometer's may show more.
800R MXZ X
What an epic adventure, how does one plan this? Looks like they are riding a lot of frozen water ways. Curious on how they planned for this trip. RWM NH
PISTON LAKE CRUISER
The only information I've seen is what is in the Post but there is a lot if you go all the way back to the earliest posts.
largedaryl
They seem to have a whole team of family and volunteers back home helping whenever they need parts and to find lodging night to night. They are down now as I understand waiting on two new driven clutches. Lots of challenges along the way as trails do not exist in many areas... they rely on local that they stumble upon for aid. They are sleeping in tents as last resort... only used once as far as I have read. Very interesting.. and rather extreme!
