Fozzy
Bucky and I drove up to Coin Lavigne on Wednesday night for a couple of days of riding in the Park and going to Lac Taurreau. Thursday conditions were amazing with the snow they received last Monday and Tuesday and all trails were perfect. Could not ask for better conditions. Then Thursday night the storm hit dumping close to 2' feet of snow. We wake up to a winter wonderland!! We were first tracks going into the park and made for some tough riding with our short tracks. Getting stuck is a understatement! Basically feather the gas and try and keep the front end from getting sunk in the snow. Friday we could not go very far. We basically rode to Cyprus Cabin (played in the snow doing donuts and enhancing our powder riding skills) and back to Coin Lavigne. Load up and tried to leave at 2pm but was snowed in and had to wait for the road to open. Absolutely an amazing two days.

bucky the d.o.g
Anyone riding up there this weekend should be on the lookout for falling trees, in the 4 hours it took us to ride 25kms in and 25kms back out, there where significanly more downed trees...be careful there is a lot of heavy wet snow snow stuck them and they are leaning pretty good. oh BTW...riding powder all day is (I hate to say it)..overated. Understood!! Out west (Wyoming & Idaho) where the pow is fluffy feathers it's a different deal. It's still easy to get a long track stuck, but WAY easier to get unstuck facing down mountian. We need cold & surfacing!!
bucky the d.o.g
Yes doo dude we ride Pembroke around to Osgoode mainly(west and south of Ottawa), live in Ottawa. But travel frequently to find snow when needed.

doo4adoo
I was out in Labelle Park yestesday and tried 3 different areas as far as Mt Laurier but kept having to turn back with trees down. Like them I got a whopping 20 miles! I found these pictures on the Vallee de la Nation site and show the state of some areas. Mike
PLAYHARD
Damn. As always, hats off to the local clubs & groomers! No one should ever take it for granted when we blast down perefectly manicured trails. It ain't easy to get them like that!
Fozzy
The groomer at Vallee de Nation is a amazing and commented guy to our sport. His area is a hidden secret and one which I have the pleasure to visit many times. Trailblazer has first hand on what I'm talking about this area.
