So .... a bit of an update. It's just my wife and I going and we decided to get a chalet just off the lake with the main trail being only about 1000 feet from the chalet. The owner tells me that the municipality allows snowmobile access via the road so that's good news. I researched restaraunts in the area and there seems to be one in Lac-Etchemin that is rating pretty high on Trip Advisor called Barbuck so I made resy's there for Saturday night (next weekend) and we'll wing it for the rest of the trip because if we eat a big lunch we're usually just apps and a drink for dinner or vice-versa. We're not going to be going on 200-300 miles loops. We're more into about 150 is our sweet spot. We have to get back before dusk because my wife has trouble seeing in the dark (Glaucoma and tunnel vision). Anyways, since not too many people are familiar with this area I'll try and give a good report / summary during our stay.
