Did a little 5 day tour last week.
Day 1 Started from Pointe a la Croix up through the Matepedia through the Mummy Trees and spent the first night in Cabano. Supper at Auberge Garre, an old train station with an old sled out front.
Day 2 Left Cabano traveled the TQ35 Express, stopping for breakfast at Tourville. The 35 was a first for a few of the guys and we're blown away how fast we covered ground. Landed at the Berniares for the shuttle, great set up. We squeezed 5 sleds in the trailer and jammed 5 men in the truck. Unloaded on the other side and stayed at the Roqumont. Had a great evening there too.
Day 3 North on the TQ23, it was as awesome as ever, fresh groomed smooth and soft. Crossed the river at Jonquiere up the 93 based at the ski hill and onto Km 31 for the night. We rented 3 of their 2 person Lofts, pretty good set up. That night we rode to the Chapel for supper. There was a live band playing. Great time again.
Day 4 Headed out at -27 toward Forestville. Stopped for a quick visit at Domaine l or Piste and met the owner, a great guy. Saw the cabin that just burned a week before. Rolled through to Forestville and on to Baie Comeau, trails 10/10. Sailed on the 5pm boat back to Matane for the night. Supper and drinks at the Quality Inn.
