  1. Northbound that would be great. I'm looking at a time frame for a trip to the peninsula. Can't leave home for a week and hopefully there will be a couple snow drops in that time. Main thing is getting into motels and gas stations. Going to be there for 4 days with one group and 3 or 4 days with another. Stay by myself if the second group can't make it. Be safe. No the first group dropped out. So I will be there Saturday or Sunday by my self. If anyone needs a end of the pack rider let me know. I have a new sled and have rode many miles in Quebec.
  2. I don't know but looking at that picture of Jean Guy I think we should take up a collection and buy him one. Got to be some frost bite under there some where. Lol
  3. Left that no oxygen area today. Found a qualify inn in Colorado springs and it is much better in this area for breathing. Still coughing a little but not as much. Let me tell you all this is a very serous sickness and I believe if i was stupid and not give in to altitude sickness I truly believe it will kill you. I may be 67 but I have never had anything flatten me like this. This was a adventure but a bad one for me. It would be easier to ride 500 miles in a day than this. I would like to try the 500 miles tho. Right David. So anyway be safe guy's.

  5. The glasses look normal, it's roll of 100 dollar bills behind them I like.
  6. I would just once like to see the high meadows I see on you tube. I don't want to climb up mountains as far as the machine will go. My friend says they are here. Any way maybe lose 50 lbs and get better or earlier drugs before I come out. Maybe next year. Maybe bring my riding pardner slash my youngest boy. That might not work because his brother will be here too. Alot of stuff happens when they get together. Lol
  7. What if you strapped the skies along side the pulling sleds bumber and made a straight bar to connect to the towed sleds front bar and to the rear bar of the towing sled. Have to build a bracket on one of the sleds to carry it. Only my opinion
  8. We had 7000 miles on our 2015 renegade. I wouldn't have been afraid to put another 3000 miles on them. They were 98 percent Quebec miles tho. We bought 2018 850 renegade and the are a blast to ride. We bought them because of the 850 motor. But I have only heard good things about the new 600 motor ski doo has. 850 motor features I believe. I will diffently thing about that in a couple years. The 850 imo has more than needed power. But they are so much fun to ride. I don't think 6000 km,s is a lot if you ride in Quebec. But you have to look at trade on value I guess. Only my opinion
  9. It was time for the family ski trip to Colorado and seeing how last year in Vail I found there was no oxygen so I was sick for a week i would prepare. First I drank a orange and grape drink for a couple days before departure. It tastes like tang the stuff they took into space. Younger people might not remember. Second flew to Denver, spent the night. I was told we are acclimating. Next started the drive over the mountain to Cresta Butte. Need to work our way there I was told. Well I remembered years ago I spent a day in Black Hawk so let's spend a nite there. What I remembered was a little town with a couple motels and 1 casino. Not now. The whole town is casinos. My idea, no one else to blame but I could spent 3 night's in Quebec for what I paid for one. No problem honey we are on vacation. Looking back now that was the cheap part. Spend just too many hours in a casino. That's alright we are on vacation. Lol. Next day west on 70 the south and then west to Gunnison. Very interesting drive. Spent the nite with a Friend and had a great dinner and conversation. Wonderful evening and I was still breathing. Everything is great. Final leg to the ski area, found the house, unloaded the car and where did the oxygen go. Thought I accumulated. Time has gone by and maybe more people have arrived and less oxygen is to be had. Well today we , as in my honey and I, went to the ski village clinic, seen the doctor and now I am laying in bed with a concentrator pumping air in my. Amazing how fast you feel better when you have something to breathe. Only pain is a friend out here had sleds ready for a day or two of riding. If I got stuck I would die no doubt. It's alright seeing how i don't ski and I am now resting up for when I get home because my next stop is RDL Quebec. Next year I am going to lose 50 lbs and try it again. It's tough out here but it is beautiful. Be safe all.
  10. If you can get to Ville Marie just ride the river. Them arctic cats will go miles on water. No just kidding. I think you will be fine. Get a early start. Be safe.
  11. I agree with Viper. If you work more your old dad can play more. But then again I thing you were taught that way.
  12. Sounds great. Leaving tomorrow for Colo sking trip for the wife. Will be in touch when I get back. Thanks
  13. Mike how long are you going to be enjoying your self. Lol. Question is I am going to be free on March 1st and plan on riding my snowmobile. If your going to be there I would love to come up and follow you for a day or two. Oh yea I like wine too. Lol. My oldest boy is coming up with a couple friends later in the week and i want to get in shape for riding with them. Really i just want to ride. Thx.
  14. Thanks so much. We are sure it will increase mileage as he does keep track of his dad. But then again I have never failed to show up. Some days as you know the snow dust is dangerous and I can be a mile behind. We do put a lot of miles when there is just the two of us. I think the radio's will make it safer too. Thanks again.
  15. Don what helmet do you use. David likes the idea of the radios and wondering if the can be used in our ski doo modulers. I'm sure they make it easier and add miles to the day. Be safe next week.
  16. This fire extinguisher thing. Don't give the government any idea's. One more thing to carry and for them to give tickets when they are out dated or froze and don't work. Only my opinion. Be safe everyone.
  17. Jack we rode our 850's 1300 miles last week and love them. We did do a 50 mile ride at home and realized the taller windshield was needed. Glad we did that for sure. The sled it self is a blast to ride. Quick out of the corners and no mid range let down non existent. Only adjustment made was more ski pressure. I do like the 7000 miles remark from you. Also please keep us posted on the 600 sled. Sounds like a new sled coming to your trailer. Lol. Be safe and have a good year.
  18. On the internet go FMCQ. Click on interactive map. Get to the map and on the top right corner click the drop down for hotels, gas ECT. Top of the drop down is groomer delay. Click that .
  19. We were there last week. Got gas and had a drink. Other people were there so we didn't eat but had a great conversation with the guy pumping gas. Said his wife was running the restaurant and was a great cook. Note the gas was cheap. No tax on it. The trail is different than last year. Something about a bridge out. He said they were going to have gas all season and have meals too. Super guy to talk too. Be safe and enjoy .
  20. We rode our 850's renegades last week for the first time, little over 1300 miles and loved them. There was 4 and 5 of us in the group and when we gases up we just paid for all the gas. Anyway it was hard to compare gas mileage. I did notice that it seem like it used more oil after break in. Gas mileage is better than our 800's. The ride is more fun because of the extra power. Had to adjust the skis a little to turn in granular snow. Little adjustment made a huge improvement. Started very well on cold morning . No ice build up in the cooling area. All and all we were very happy with the new ride. The smaller gas tank not a issue. Can't wait to get back on the trail. Be safe everyone.
  21. That would great great. Not so much for David but riding my snowmobile is part of the reason I don't live in North Carolina. Lol. I like to tell the boys I love the taste of snow dust. Lol. Be safe this weekend.
  22. Well I would like to tell the rest of the story. From La Tugue we had to get one of the boys back to the truck by noon for him to go home for work. Made exactly 12 noon. It was a cold ride and the sun in our face was brutal. Too cold to go fast anyway. 73 was great all the way. Got busy tho. Started the wheels turning. We weren't going to ride that afternoon so we decided seeing that RDL was only 3 hours away here we go. Called the hotel got rooms and big smiles on the faces. Next day headed to Matane on a couple green trails and trail 5 and it was great. Next day east on 5 to 595 and headed south to New Richmond. Trail was again great. Only problem was a wet snow storm that we seem to be in the middle of the last 20 miles. At times I could look west and see blue skies but we were in the snow. Got to New Richmond and headed west to Carleton. Up early and headed to Rumoski. West on 5 to the orange trail back to 5. Trails are still great. Up 5 to the bridge where I believe groomer starts his magic and oh my goodness it was perfect. It was the best trail I have ever riden in ever. Up 5 to a local trail over to St Florence and on to groomers club house. Seen Groomer at work only waving because he looked busy. From there green trails back to 5 near Rumoski and a other wonderful day. The green trails were a little thin on snow but that snowmobiling. Up early and back to RDL and the truck by 10 30. All home by 8 30 and thinking all the way about the next adventure. Oh yea stopped in Montreal and picked up some saddle bags from Trailblazer. Nice seeing buddy. All in all what a great trip and time I had with the boys. They do take care of me and they are the best. Gaspe is the best in my opinion and only my opinion. All of Quebec is great. Anyway be safe everyone and enjoy.
  23. I thing we seen you in St Florence. You looked too busy to stop and talk. Great trails you make sir. Thanks very much.
  24. We came down 355 to 73 yesterday. Most was groomed and there was a groomer in operation. From Lac Edward to La Tugue was perfect.
