Tons of snow up here if you are thinking of a last ride.   Snow everywhere.   Mid-winter in Valin with feet of snow.  Around a foot of heavy wet snow at La Malbaie when we returned yesterday.

The iMotoneige app is showing gas options for you.   Great app with a lot of info.   Recommend you download it if you don’t have it.

    Hi Jak,
I was talking to Mike last night and he said that average fuel mileage is on my gauge. I have been writing down info at all my fill ups but usually do all the math when I get home. I am going to look at the manual and check the gauge for Thursday.
This has been a warm trip but don’t dare take Gemma’s power cords away 😂

You said you’ll start from Matane and we did that last year and spent 6 days on the peninsula.   We normally start at Rivière du Loup at the Universel. If you start in Matane you can do a hybrid of this.     Day 1-Rivière du Loup to Matane at the Riotel.   Day 2-in Mont St Pierre (both motels are similar).   Day 3 Chandler at the Motel Chandler via the 597 (that is a quick day so you would have time to go to Perce and see the rock).   Day 4-New Richmond via the 597 north to the Chic Choc trail and the 595 south to the Francis.   Day 5-Amqui (either the Selectotel or L’Ambassadeur).   Day 6- Rivière du Loup.  The 597 has a gorge below Murdochville which is nice.   The Chic Choc trail is a favorite of ours.    We avoid 5 between Grand Valle and Perce because we have run into huge bumps both times we did it.   The Gaspe is great.   We have been up there 8 times.

So generally there is snow.   I realize you can’t predict a month ahead but we are trying to get some guidance from folks who ride the area.   This trip is a week later than we normally go.   Appreciate all the comments.

I would say that as long as it doesn't rain and warm up and it stays cold and snows some once in a while for the next 4 weeks you should be good to go and have a great trip!

The first 10 miles or so out of Roquemont is the tough part.  After that you start climbing in elevation pretty quick and you are up on the plateau thru the park.  When you get to Lac St Jean, it gets iffy again.  Mont Valin is usually still good.  It would be getting out of Jonquiere that maybe the difficult part.
If conditions look good in Jonquiere for the week, start from Roquemont.  If not, I would trailer to the Lac so I could trailer to Mont Valin or where trail 368 crosses route 175 and ride from there.  You don't want to be land locked in Jonquiere.  Time to get the crystal ball.
    Our humble 2¢.

Planning a March 8-15 trip.  Thinking about starting and ending at the Roquemont.   Do you think it will be  risky given the low snow year?   Our other option is to start at the Delta, another 2 hour drive.   Appreciate the comments.
