  1. My wife and I have been using Collett since 2007. We are connected by hardwire so I cant be sure of the range. I do hear groomers approaching with the beacon. We can hear other collett users approaching (a nice warning). I carry a spare microphone. I had one fail once. I use "Communicator Power" connected to my machines charging system. It nice to have full power at all times and not have to think about batteries. http://www.communicatorpower.com/
  2. Alain thanks for the ride along. You and Krikri always do a super job of showing your adventures. Mrs Gt was laughing "darling, can you check if my Gopro still running???" she's heard that one before.
  3. Thanks mxzdude. I am going that way. I am happy to hear your report.
  4. Last year, saw this sign while riding the orange trail at Forestville. It says 50k from here.
  5. Hi Tom, We planned a Gaspe/BSL trip. I made all the reservations right before the meltdown. I am watching the weather carefully. I don't want to change plans but if I have to I will. Hi Doonali, Its the gps map from the CMIQ site. I use Garmin Basecamp and MapSource.
  6. I try to help when I can. I mostly receive the wealth of info on here. Thanks Don.
  7. Rabaska to Domanie 111 miles Domane to Kitcisakik 114 miles Kitcisakik to Forestel 56 miles 281 total
  8. There is a restaurant next to the Hotel Chibougamau if you are looking for one.
  9. A few years back I was using a family members 4x4. When returning U.S. Customs wanted to see a letter granting permission to take it out of the country. Eventually we were let by. I would bring a letter. Notarized sounds even better.
  10. Thanks for the report. It must be nice to hop on the trail from home and do a 265 mile loop. With a large group like that I guess odds of having an issue come up increase. Good to see all make it back under power. Was that a Team Iceman member writing the tickets? Nice break with the guided short cut.
  11. There is a DesJardins bank close. I have always had favorable exchanges at the bank. 2500, 5e Avenue,Shawinigan-Sud (Québec), G9P 1P6 819-536-4404
  12. Thanks for the reports and pics. We always enjoy reading a Team Iceman adventure. I did not see the new shocks on your machine. Waiting on springs?
  13. Winter logging. That looks like work. I bet it made the drink that much better. Jim & Gemma
  14. Nice shot of the powder flying in pic 1. Its fun to follow you guys. Thanks.
  15. Than you hit the lottery. Congrats. $325?
  16. Does anyone have the GPS Coordinates for Pipmuacan? I would like to see where it is. Thanks.
  17. Thanks Snobeeler and Mike. I can't wait to take some more this year. The last shot was taken here. Close to the hotel.
  18. We got this close to Matane last year and turned around. They shut down for two days after giving out refunds to all onboard.
  19. I see Quebec Riders take the same photos. Hôtel Le Manoir in Baie- Comeau
  20. I see seaplanes docked near on the google earth view.
  21. Last year I left from Sacre Coeur Motel Coronet (418) 236-9444. We did a 222 mile loop and stayed at the Forestville Econolodge (418) 587-2278. Before going up the dead end to the left there is an Esso gas station to the right. We had lunch at the Econolodge and went on the orange loop north of Forestville. It was a nice day. The next Day we went to Port-Cartier. Hôtel Le Manoir in Baie- Comeau (418) 296-3391 around is 105 miles from the Econolodge. You would have plenty of time to hit the orange trails north of Baie-Comeau. We hit them a few days later on the way back. We went east from the loop to Franquelin for gas. Hope this helps.
  22. Last years sticker hunt. Wish I had one for here.
