This is exactly why Wemo, Manawan and all the indigenous villages closed, and they were way out in front of this, good for them. We are all learning more about this every day, 25% of people tested positive never had any symptoms, that is only from people tested and basically in the big picture nobody has been tested. Really scary times, you want to be safe, not sorry.I live 8 miles from town on top of a mountain at 2200 ft, I feel safe there on my 100 acres, nobody else around, but I do not want to get even a normal cold and be thinking, do I have it??I do not think anybody really knows where this is going, not possible to be too safe!!

Seemed like they were overreacting at the time didn't it. Guess we should have done the same.

Today.....with absolutely no worries about my “fitness for duty”.....we rolled into Wemotaci again. Saw a couple guys from the fire dept at the end of the bridge but they recognized us from yesterday and passed us on. After getting gas (and necessities) from the grocery store the cop rolls up to is.

Guys he said.....I think you need to get out of town. Said he thinks any minute they are closing any entry from foreigners.

no problem sir.....and BTW....that’s the HOTTEST damn 22 yr old cop (from Dolbuea in LSJ) I have EVER seen and almost makes you wanna be “bad” so she could rough you up a bit.

You should have played your "QC rider ambassador of indigenous affairs" card and probably could have at least got lunch with her out of the deal.

  3. Hey all, I am one of Snowmasters life long riding partners. Just got some sort of radio call from him. Never has he done that before.

The caller ID said "out of area", usually I don't answer those, for some unknown reason tonight I picked up.

He is fine, but will not make it to Parant tonight. Details are sketchy at the moment but he will fill in the blanks when he gets to a place with WiFi

Again, not in any danger, but you can bet he will have a story to tell soon.

  4. I have the Klim bibs and jacket, I forget the model but it's the current good stuff. Definitely not an upgrade in warmth over my 10 year old stuff. Better in every other way. If you want to join the "men in black" community go Klim. the only FXR  piece I own is a spiderman mask. It's my go to when the temps drop. It's the only one I have that holds it's shape. The rest of them move too much when putting on your helmet.

Loosely from Dec-1 to April 1 is 121 days, or 17 weeks of riding.  6 days on and 1 day off would give 100 days of riding at an average of 200 miles per day.  I estimate very close to $20K in travel expenses, another $10K in depreciation, sled maintenance, insurance and registrations.  Expensive year.

Meanwhile he must be maintaining a home somewhere, heating it, clearing the driveway,  paying the bills, checking the mail, getting rid of the trash, keeping appointments, family obligations, ... not my idea of fun.

  6. Pretty hard to predict and bring the next part that is going to fail. If you could predict you would change it before you left. At some point I looked back on my history and asked myself what tools and other items that I tote all over creation did I actually use.  Those that I did use got invited back. Most have already been mentioned.  Also if you are in a group you don't need 4 pairs of vise grips, 4 ratchet straps, 4 tow ropes, etc. You can spread it out over everyone. Like a potluck dinner. Next, what are you really going to do out in the weather, to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair a malfunction? It's pretty hard in that environment.  You will most likely limp it in or tow it.

    Hey GuyZ

Since it is slow on here and I still can't say the "S" word at home until at least September I thought I would  share some of the repairs and updates I've been working on.

After this last season of constantly losing upper idler wheels, shocks, springs, bushings, bearings, etc... on the rear suspension I have tried to focus on fine tuning and re-enforcing the rear suspension.

I purchased new Springs for the rear, sent out the Mid Shock to have FAST fix the Airbag and rebuild the shock, the Rear Shock went to Ian (at Monster) , Spring Spacers and a set of bushings.

Well.... the I did not like the play\slop in the Front Arm's Bushings so I set out to fix it. What I came up with is this:

    5b31189442ccd_SD1200-RearArmBushingReplacement.-1.thumb.JPG.1503784ce8cd284e043ce435cd9e6d43.JPG

This has taken the slop out and I will test this over the next season. I also expect a smoother motion as it now utilizes small roller bearings. The Grease Fitting is from when I was running the factory bushings. I may utilize it again in v2.0.

No marmalade in the picture this year? How do we know it's really you?
